SOURCE: Brake Pad Replacement,2004 VW Touareg,V6 instructions

Same as any other vehicle.

1. Raise and support vehicle
2. Remove tire/wheel
3. Loosen/remove the two caliper bolts
4. Slide caliper off the rotor.
5. Use a C-Clamp to depress the caliper piston
6. Remove old pads from caliper
7. Install new pads on caliper
8. Install caliper/tighten caliper bolts
9. Install tire/wheel
10.Lower vehicle
11 Move to next wheel/repeat

Some people take a turkey baster and remove some of the brake fluid from the master cylinder prior to depressing the caliper piston because it can over flow. If you choose to do that just add the fluid back when finished so it is at its proper level.

Try underneath passenger side rear doors, inside the frame. If you gonna replace it yourself make sure you take off gas cap to relieve pressure from fuel system,if not it will spray you bad.

SOURCE: how to reset the break Sensor

Hi, You need to open the tailgate (liftgait). Pop off the two screw covers on the light assambly. Take out the two screws, then comes the hard part. You can either pull strait out and hope you dont break the locking pin or use a 2mm flat rope or string, slide it around the outside of the assembly then give a great pull to pop the pin. Be careful and good luck!

SOURCE: I wants to know how

You need to press the clock button next to the tachometer gauge. The clock settings should come up on the MFI (multi-function indicator, located between the speedometer and the tachometer). Select your choice of settings using the thumb wheel on the steering wheel(hour, minute) and when done push the center confirm button on the thumb wheel to exit and confirm your settings.

How to reset trip meter on 2004 Volkswagen Touareg

Dear Larry,
It is the small button in the dashboard next to the Odometer.
  • Push it once, it will give you the "Trip A " reading.
  • Push it and hold it in, it will REset the Trip A to 00000
  • Repeat the process for "Trip B" then push once more, it will revert back to regular general mileage counting.
  • I am also including a link for Touareg Owners Manual.
Good Luck!
