I don't to get ripped off since I really don't have the money for a big repair. Can you please HELP ME!
The alternator that was installed is faulty.
Insist on a different alternator.
If you paid for a new alternator you may have not have had a new alternator installed.
If you had a "shade tree mechanic" work on your car, insist that another alternator be installed.
Whenever you have a car part replaced insist that you are given the part that was removed.
SOURCE: gear shift difficulty moving/gear shift stuck in 1st gear
sounds like your shift cable was freezing up and finally snapped. check the trans shifter side and see if you can move it if so then this is problem. your car runs a cable not rods. if you pop the center console out you will get a better view there is one or two screws at back of console in cupholders and it should come out
SOURCE: wont start after changing the alternator, battery, and MAF sensor
Sometimes the alarm thinks the pos. battery cable has been cut so it kills the ighition. You will have to look in the manual to see how to reset the alarm. You may need a code. If its not the alarm, you may have blown a fuse or worse, fried the computer when you put the alt. in. start at the begining. Check the battery cable connections, battery voltage, alt. wires and connections. if the headlighys work but the car won't start, it's prob. not a "connection" problem.
SOURCE: Dodge Journey windows going down by themselves
Mine began like that and then none of the locks and windows worked. Now it is at the dealer (again!) waiting for parts. This is the 5th time a recall defect has been fixed..
SOURCE: my 2009 dodge journey won't
This is a notorious problem with '08/'09 Journeys. Unfortunately Dodge, nor the dealers have identified the root cause. Dealers will start by replacing the WIN (wireless ignition) module, then the starter, followed by relays, the ELV module, and finally send you on your way. Soon you will stranded with a NO START / CRANK INOP problem again. There is no real solution identified... ...and that's a travesty. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
SOURCE: how can i change the
Click the top left button on the steering wheel (looks like a book page) toggle the display (display is right under the temp and gas gauge on the left of dash). Go to Units and change between U.S. And metric to toggle from farentheight to Celsius an visa versa. It also changes between miles and kilometers, gallons / kilograms, etc.
I hope that helps - it took me a minute to figure this out.
