My 2001 ford crown victoria wont come out of park

Check your brake lights, if they don\'t work the interlocking system will not let you shift from park. If brake lights don\'t work probably the brake lamp switch on the pedal shaft. Check power in and out of switch when stepping on pedal, if nothing coming out, swi

1988 ford f 150 suddenly no power to fuel pumps

Hi Don,
your fuel pump is supplied voltage from the fuel pump relay which is supplied voltage from the EEC power relay ( fuel pump relay-Green Base, EEC power relay has a Brown Base) usually located on the left side(drivers side) of the engine compartment. These relays are supplied voltage from the fuse links at the starter solenoid on the firewall near the Battery, I hope this Helps Don!

My washer pump is not working and it`s new, can anyone help with a solution to my problem

check for powers and grounds at the pump electrical connector with someone activating the pump.of you don`t have any then check the fuses with a test light.if you do have power and ground at the pump and it has a good connection(no corrosion or dirt)then you may just have a bad pump this happens sometimes.

'96 Jeep Cherokee Classic: front windshield washer does'nt work. Replaced both front & rear pumps.

If you have replaced the pumps and the switch, the only thing left is the wiring. First of all , check the fuse, and then , with a test light, see if you have power at the pump when you hit the switch. I'm assuming you don't, and you will need to keep probing the wire back from the pump to the switch until you find power. Keep in mind power will only be present when the switch is pushed. You will also have to be sure the ground wire s good. Good luck.

Does the fuel pump on a 97 chrysler lhs make sound when the key is on?

check the fuses for the fuel pump then if its good check the wiring for the system.there is also a pump relay in the system to check,if there is no power to the tank unit then changing the pump is not going to fix the problem.

I have a 97 chevy blazerwith no power to the fuel pump but have power at the relay

How do you know there's no power at the pump? Did you check at the fuel tank connector? If you unplug it there, and use a multi-meter set on dc volts, or even a simple test light, with key on you should have power on the fuel pump wire for about 2 seconds. And then, when car is cranked you would also have 12 volts at the wire there. If you do have power there, then you'll have to remove tank and pull your pump out to test it. If you don't have power there when key is on or cranked, then you have a wiring problem between the relay and the tank connector.

My power steering pump is not working would that cause my battery and oil light to light up on my dash board

You haven't removed power steering belt right? The power steering belt it's the same for the alternator and the oil pump, if that belt is burst then you are gonna have your battery light lit and your oil pump won't work so it's gona detect low oil pressure and your oil light will lit too. Make sure that you don't have a missing belt, cause if you do and you keep runnig the car, the battery will discharge and the engine will be damaged. If the belt is ok, if the power steering is getting stucked then the belt may be getting stucked too and that's gonna cause the same troubles. If that's happening it's gonna continue doing it until the belt cracks or the power steering pulley blows.

1996 caravan replaced fuel pump dont have power going to it ,, already checked and moved around the relays.. is there anything else i need to do?

you don`t say did you check the fuses.were the connections at the fuel pump plug in good/clean condition.have you check for power at the pump wires at the tank you do then you will have to check the pump wires at the pump if you don`t have power by the tank then you need to check to see if power is powering up the relay and going out of the relay to the pump.you could have a corrosion problem under the relay box.

Car died code P0171 fuel lean #1 bank???? Bad fuel pump?

It could be a bad fuel pump but you should check the fuel pressure before replacing it.If you don`t have a pressure tester then spray some brake cleaner or carb.cleaner into the throttle body.If it starts and runs for a few seconds then it more than likely is a fuel pump. One other thing you can do is make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump.Use a test light and hook it up to the black and gray wire at the connector at the fuel pump.Turn the key on and the test light should light for 2 seconds and go off. This will tell you that you are power and grounds are good.Hope this helps.Good luck.
