I don't know. consider going to dealer's parts counter and ask if latch is a replaceable part. this can be a danger to someone using that seat. don't let anyone sith there untill latch is working.

SOURCE: the sliding door on my

first clean it with some brake cleaner, then with a screwdriver in the latch pull slightly while operating the latch and it should undo itself, when you get it free, spray some lithium grease in the mechanism and work the lock a few times like you did while trying to free it when the lock seems to operate freely go ahead and open and close it a few times to work the grit and grime out of the latch,. lubricate the other locks the same way after cleaning them as well.

SOURCE: have a santa fe 2005 with a broken seat latch any one know how to fix

Hello
The best thing to do here is to take the car to an automotive trim repair shop, the seat will need to have the cover taken off and an appropriate repair made, the trim shop would have the most experience with this type of repair and would also be the most cost conscious place to have it fixed. I have never had this question come up on this year and model so it is not a common issue that is for sure.

These are cable controlled and linked remove the seat and cycle the locks and see if they move together, if not a cable has broken or come unhooked. Most of these seat backs are Val crowed so it may open right up

Liftgate on 2005 uplander won't open

The locking mechanism on the rear lift gate for the Chevy Uplander has some plastic and rubber-coated parts that can get jammed. If you can pull back the panel from the inside top near the glass, you can reach down and try to spray some silicone lubricant into the lock. This could help get those parts unstuck so they spring back when you pull on the handle latch from the outside. Once you get the rear hatch open, I recommend taking out the locking mechanism and thoroughly lubricating it. Your rear lift gate will start to release very easily from then on.
