SOURCE: SUZUKI VITARA 2.0 V6 PETROL ENGINE

I suggest either a "Haynes" or "Chilton" repair manual. They are both very informative concerning complete engine tear down.

SOURCE: 1997 suzuki vitara. new battery now car wont start.

Assuming the terminals are hooked up correctly, are your cable ends corroded? Are you sure the fittings are clean and tight? If it was hooked up backward check your fuse box and hope it only fried some fuses.

SOURCE: Water pump

Hello nedy...if you have the V6 engine, it will require the removal of the timing chain cover to access the water pump. The water pump is mounted to the engine block with 4 bolts. It is recommended that the bolts be replaced due to electrolysis (steel bolt in aluminum block) Replace all gaskets and o-ring seals as well.
While you are in there, you can inspect the timing chains, it has 3..and the chain tensioners. A Haynes repair manual would be helpful on this project and will have the correct torque specs.
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate mr a fixya.

Firing order 07 suzuki xl7

The firing order for the 2007 Suzuki XL7 equipped with the 3.6L V6 engine is 1-2-3-4-5-6. In V6 engines, the cylinders are typically numbered consecutively from front to rear on each bank. Therefore, the firing order indicates the sequence in which the spark plugs fire in each bank of cylinders.

Why grand vitara wont start? turns but does not fire

2.5L engine? v6.
you broke it , didnt you.
the 2.5L has no belt so its not 2.5L , 2.5L is CHAIN,(i own one same year)
must be a 4 cylinder engine??
and G16>
world wide GV have these engines
1.6 L G16B I4 (petrol)
2.0 L J20A I4 (petrol)
2.5 L H25A V6 (petrol)
2.0 L RF/RFM I4 (diesel)
2.0 L RHW/RHZ I4 (diesel)

only the 1.6BL gas has a belt.
lucky for you its not an INTERFERENCE engine or boom.
I also have A G16 suzuki and know how to time it.
the G16, must be cam timed at #4 cylinder firing, never #1
this is stated in the gates belt page, the FSM and alldata.com
and here.

after changing the belt , i always check that i have my 170psi
compression back (wideopen throttle) or its all just a waste of time.

its not the CKP unplugged, as this engine runs with out one.
fact.
here are all G16b steps.
and nice photos. and the false marks, that is correct, suzuki
gawd love em. uses the cogs on 2 engines. 3cyl and 4cyl.

all pitfalls are here. every one.

Hey can a 95 Chevy Tracker Fuel Tank fit on a 02 suzuki grand vitara

what does FIT? mean.
prefect fit, no.
safely fit. no.
can I make it fit , with my welder and metal fab tools, sure.

the 95 is a gen 2 car
the 2002 is generation 5 car, they are radially different bodies
and the 95 is narrow body, with G16 engine.
the 2002 is wide body and mine is 2.5l v6,
You want a gas sucking V6 , sipping from that dinky 1.6L tank?
why>?
my v6 gets 19mpg , best of best.
my 96 gets 28mpg, worlds apart..
not only that the fuel fittings are not the same.
the old 95 uses banjo's
the 95 pump only fits a 95 tank
the 2002 needs a bigger pump. and has different pressure. spec. and flows. and different fittings.
not to mention wrong sender, and all the EVAP and other parts
