This is the same procedure as a Dokota, you are in luck, there was nothing on the Durange but there isa good video for the Dakota. Replace Turn Signal for Dodge Dakota 2001
check the bulbs and sockets they plug into then i would check any ground wires going to or coming from the turn signals i would also check the turn signal switch for any broken parts the hazard flasher is also the same flasher that runs the turn signals so there pretty cheap.
This vehicle has what is known as a flasher unit, it is a relay assembly under the dash. This is the relay that clicks when your signals are on. it may need to be replaced. Another possible trouble spot could be the wiring in the steering column. Are there any other issues with horn, cruise etc.
