code EDC ( electronic diesel control) 03779 01 refers to fuel pressure too low in the common rail=== causes --blocked fuel filters, blocked vent control-- failing high pressure pump---
It is a specific MAN code and should be investigated by an accredited diesel shop with man experience

EDC is for electronic diesel control , which i expect you knew , so i would get the OBD codes read to pinpoint the sensor/switch causing the issue , can't be more exact as you faile to mention vehicle make etc
