2005 ford taurus. the fuel pump relay have numbers on it and they are #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 but i don't know which number to connected the Jumper wire to. i think the fuel pump relay is number 29 in the fuse box the pump want run when i turn the key on i replace a new fuel pump assembly. i check all the fuses they are good but i don't hear the pump relay click when i turn the key on.
Replace the relay, jumper wire wont work, there is a small set of points inside the relay, there probably burnt, or stuck open
i change relays around still pump want run and i don't hear the relay click when turn key on. what i check now?
That's because the fuel pump driver module in the trunk is bad and needs to be replaced go to rockauto.Com and look up your vehicle then the part so you can see it this is on the inside trunk braces on the side and is responsible for final energizing of the fuel pump
is there a way i can connect a jumper wire to the fuel pump to make it run? how do i test the drive module with a multimeter?
is there a way i can connect a jumper wire to the fuel pump to make it run?

SOURCE: 91 ford ranger...fuel pump will not run pump is good
It won't hurt to jump sire to drive, It is designed to pump all time when the engine is running. The only problem is the pump should not be on if engine is not running since it is designed that way to prevent a fire while pump continues on once engine is stops in a car accident. There is a control device to immobilize the fuel pump, if there is no speed sensor signal from the crankshaft. This needs to be located and fixed.
SOURCE: On my 97 grand prix3.8 I have used a jumper wire
There is a break in the wire that supplies power to the fuse box.
You need to trace this power wire from the fuse box to find the break in this wire and fix this wire,.
Ii would help you is you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle as the wires are color coded.
