That's because the fuel pump driver module in the trunk is bad and needs to be replaced go to rockauto.Com and look up your vehicle then the part so you can see it this is on the inside trunk braces on the side and is responsible for final energizing of the fuel pump

SOURCE: 91 ford ranger...fuel pump will not run pump is good

It won't hurt to jump sire to drive, It is designed to pump all time when the engine is running. The only problem is the pump should not be on if engine is not running since it is designed that way to prevent a fire while pump continues on once engine is stops in a car accident. There is a control device to immobilize the fuel pump, if there is no speed sensor signal from the crankshaft. This needs to be located and fixed.

SOURCE: On my 97 grand prix3.8 I have used a jumper wire

There is a break in the wire that supplies power to the fuse box.
You need to trace this power wire from the fuse box to find the break in this wire and fix this wire,.
Ii would help you is you have a wiring diagram of your vehicle as the wires are color coded.

I agree with Phil, but I have given you test procedures for other possible causes, in case the relay is good.

The fuel pump want run when i turn the key to run position why?

This what I have for fuel pump relay, The relay should be in under hood fuse box. There are two sides to relay, the control side and the switch side, the switch side is that line with arrowhead, left side in relay picture. You could unplug relay, use a jumper wire in cavities for switch side of relay, to see if fuel pump will run? The control side of relay is the right side in the picture of relay, has to have voltage and ground. The top wire on that side is voltage comes from main relay. The bottom wire on that side is chassis ground.

Fuel pump/ relay/ wiring issues

They used the jumper wire to make sure that the fuel pump was running. For engine to run you need compression, air, fuel ,ignition.

Your problem lies with either fuel or ignition, and if you dealer cannot fix but continue to charge you, I would suggest you go elsewhere.

Just brought 2000 chevrolet venture van have fuel pump isseu but not pump i checked fuse box someone have a small black wire connected to fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay that blow so i replace both...

It's possible someone used the jumper wire to load side of fuel pump relay, gray wire. That supplies voltage to fuel pump motor, the fuel pump fuse is hot all the time. The fuel pump will run all the time even with key off, running down the battery. They used the jumper because of some kind of problem. Can you unplug the relay and check relay terminals, where the relay plugs in. Use a test light, either a problem on the load or control side of relay. Are the relay terminals numbered, like 30 and 87, maybe 85 and 86 also?

91 ford ranger...fuel pump will not run pump is good

Maybe you need to test the (pcm) power relay, it controls the fuel pump relay. Once the key is turned on the pcm will initialize the power relay, it in turn will turn on the fuel relay for 2 seconds to prime the fuel rail prior to starting. Since the pump runs continuosly, it means the pcm isnt properly grounding the ckt or the relay is faulty.

99 taurus-wont start

pull out the relay and swap it with another one. for example put the relay in your blower motor control spot. if it works relay is good if not it's bad. if you want to see if your fuel pump is working after pulling out the fuel pump relay. use a jumper wire between #30 and #87. where you pulled the relay out and this will hotwire the fuel pump to make sure it's working. have fun!!!
