The obd port is the diagnostic port connection and wont have what you are looking for. You want the ECU diagram but I have to ask why you dont want to use the actual connection to sensor.

Diagram is unnecessry.
Pull both front wheels
Work one at a time leaving the other for reference
Find the retention spring ... its a paperclip thickness wire spring... dislodge center retention loop and undo from both ends which engage brake pad retention rods.
Pull the rods out
Pull the old pads out... laying everything on the ground
Use scrap wooden wedges to pry between the rotor and the caliper ...inside and out until the calipers are fully withdrawn. Use the new pads to measure if they are far enough back.
Note... the brake fluid will have dropped in the master cylinder over many months of wear... do not fill it. When the calipers are pushed back they will fill the reservoir again... one wheel at a time.
Be sure to identify the correct pad based on what you took out and what is on the other side (if you screwed up the layout)
Make sure to take the old antisqueek backing plate from the old pad and place it on the new pad. They don't use lubricant on these anymore.
Replace the pads... the retention rods... then the retention spring
Do the other side
Then progressively step on the brake peddle until full tension is felt
Check the master cylinder reservoir... probably needs no additional fluid.
New pads will register in existing ridges in each disc in no time at all.
You should check the discs to see if they need to be replaced during this operation...using some calipers

There is a heater core bypass pipe that runs from the block (under the manifold) to the bacl of theengine where you will see a flat rectangular "sheet metal" thing with a pipe coming out of it. The a rubber hose connects. You need to pull the top air plenums and intake to get to it. The p[ipe flange bolts to the block with silicone rtv as a sealant.

you will need of course the tools to take the tires off, you will need a set of socket that range from 10 m to 15m a strong flathead screw driver and maybe a tool to turn the cylinder if it has that type you wont know till you look at it.(the tool you can get at your local auto store very cheap ....

Well the 1st thing that should have been checked was the engine control module for fault codes, buy a OBD2 fault code reader or borrow one from Autozone or other parts store. Post results here. This test is NUMERO UNO, ALWAYS.

For the benefit of any 2002 Lexus SC430 owners, I'll post the following item dealing with "Zero Point Calibration".
After hours of troubleshooting, I came to the hypothesis that the instructions MIGHT be different from 2002 - 2005 and 2006 - 2010 models. Below are the instructions I followed and WORKED on my 2002 SC430.
If you receive the "VSC" and "VSC Off" lights on the dashboard after a visit to a mechanic (often an independent mechanic using non-Lexus ODBII equipment), this means your "Zero Point Calibration" has been erroneously reset by a non-Lexus specific ODBII tool. This might especially happen if your state requires state inspection via ODBII, and you take your Lexus to a no-name place (like a Jiffy Lube or something). Follow the steps described in Post #6 in this thread to resolve this issue:

Note that where you see a reference to a tool called the "SST 09843--18040", substitute that "tool" for a simple jumper cable (such as a short speaker wire) or a paperclip.

Toyota kluger 1007 how to remedy vsc light on. vsc not on

Not sure if this will help, but my 2002 LEXUS sc430 had this issue, and it turns out that if you plug any scan tool other than the dealer unit in, it will cause this VSC lights to come on. It requires that you reset the "zero point calibration" for the skid system, which is done by first: have car on level ground with less than 1% slope in any direction. Next, follow these directions:

Zero point calibration

Performing Zero Point Calibration using Diagnostic Computer.
The ECM memory should have been reset due to which the calibration of the accelerator pedal has been erased. Use a scan tool and calibrate deceleration sensor.
You can do the calibration by clicking Engine and ECT > > special function > > and then click "deceleration 0 point calibration" while you do that make sure that coolant temperature is 80 degrees Celcius, IGN switch is "ON" , engine "OFF" and your gear shift is on "P

Performing Zero Point Calibration WITHOUT using Diagnostic Computer
1. If the vehicle is equipped with A/T, ensure that the shift lever is in the "P" range and the parking brake is applied. If the vehicle is equipped with a M/T, ensure that the parking brake is applied.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Using a paper clip or auto wire, repeat a cycle of short and open between terminals Ts and CG (Pin 12 and pin 4) of DLC3,(16 pin Data Link Connector located under the steering wheel side) 5times within 8 seconds.
4. Verify that the VSC indicator light is lit indicating the recorded zero point is erased.
5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
6. Be sure the terminals Ts and CG of DLC3 are disconnected.
7. Turn the ignition switch ON.
8. Check that the VSC warning light goes off about 15 seconds after the ignition switch is turned ON.
9. After ensuring that the VSC warning light remains OFF for 2 seconds, turn the ignition switch OFF.
10. Connect terminals Ts and CG of DLC3 using paper clip or auto wire.
11. Turn the ignition switch ON.
12. After turning the ignition switch ON, check that the VSC warning light is lit for about 4 seconds and then starts quick blinking at 0.13 second intervals.
13. After ensuring the blinking of the VSC warning light for 2 seconds, turn the ignition switch OFF.
14. Remove the clip from terminals Ts and CG of DLC3.
15. Drive the vehicle for at least 5 minutes to confirm Zero Point Calibration is complete.

My Toyota Sienna shows VSC light on the broad. What Should I do?

Hi there,

If you've had your vehicle computer codes read and determined no issue with the VSC circuit, then you just need to cancel the warning light.

I've made up the following instructions, on how to clear VSC & TRAC Warning lights:



Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate and Deceleration Sensors Using Paper Clips (or jumper wires).

First, locate the 16-pin ODB II connector under the steering wheel (beneath the dash). The pins are numbered sequentially backwards from right to left (from the wide side of the connector looking at it from underneath).


Take two normal-sized paper clips (or suitable jumper wires). If using paper clips, straighten one edge of one of the paper clips. For the other, bend it open to a 90-degree angle (like an elbow).


Insert one paper clip/wire into pin # 14 (Ts), and the other paper clip/wire into pin # 4 (CG) of the OBD II connector - DO NOT allow the paper clips/wires to make contact at this point.
Refer to diagram below:

1. Ensure the shift lever is in "P" range.


2. Turn the ignition switch to "ON" (not start).


3. Momentarily touch the two paper clips/wires together (short) and separate again (open) - Repeat this process 5 times (within 8 seconds of turning ignition on).

Verify that the VSC indicator light is illuminated, indicating the Recorded Zero point is erased.


4. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".


5. Remove both paper clips/jumper wires from the OBD II connector.


6. Turn the ignition switch "ON" (not start) - wait until VSC warning light turns off (approx. 20 seconds), then wait 2 seconds.


7. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".


9. Re-insert paper clips/jumper wires to terminals #4 & #14 of the OBD II connector (as per above diagram).


10. Turn the ignition switch "ON" (not start) - VSC warning light should remain illuminated for 4 seconds, then start flashing at 0.13 second intervals.


12. After VSC warning light flashes for 2 seconds, turn the ignition switch "OFF".


13. Remove paper clips/jumper wires from the OBD II connector.



Drive your vehicle to confirm VSC & TRAC warning lights have been reset and no longer illuminate.

I replaced my battery and now I have a engiine light vsc light and 4wd light warning no throttle response and problem code p2118. checked all fuses all good. any ideas please help.

Tests/Procedures: 1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor/deceleration sensor. Potential Causes: Deceleration Sensor Zero Point Calibration
Tech Tips: Code C1336 is for Deceleration sensor zero point calibration undone. To perform zero point calibration, have the steering wheel in the straight ahead position and have the vehicle on a level surface within an inclination of 1%. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Use a jumper wire and connect terminals TS and CG of Data Link Connector (DLC) 3. Turn the ignition switch ON. Keep the vehicle stationary on a level surface for 2 seconds or more and verify that the VSC warning light blinks. Diagnostic Codes: C1336
