SOURCE: Radio Not Working

There are 3 fuses in the interior fuse panel that feeds radio.
no. 11(10amp) is ignition switch power to the radio it comes into radio on the TN/LB wire.
no. 27 (10amp) is hot at all times and comes in on OG/LG wire.
no. 12 (5amp) is hot in run or accessory and comes in on YE/BK wire.
Check these with 12V test light at fuse and at radio connector.

2018 79 series Landcruiser. How to connect existing elect.aerial to retract when radio is turned off, currently only retracts when ignition off.Earlier models work when radio off. . Mick

You will need to find a different power source for the aerial motor. You need a lead that comes from the radio instead of the ignition. Most radios have a blue lead that is a remote wire used to turn an amp on and off or the antenna motor.

How do you get the radio to work again?

What went wrong with the old radio that can help determine what direction to go in but ALWAYS START with checking that power is actually being applied.

Have you tested the radio apart from the the car using a 12vDC power supply to ensure the radio actually works.

Did you purchase a harness adapter that plugs into the cars wire harness it normally around $20 and places like best buy would install it for free if you purchased from them even if you have your own radio. (at least it use to be that way been a couple years since I did this).

The next step is to make sure you have each wire connected according to the cars specks first then the radios second.

Make sure that the right power is at the right connection mine had a direct line to battery that was hooked up to fused power cable on the radio and one that was with normal harness

When you tested the power from the car to make sure there was power getting to the radio what where your readings did you have at least the amount specified or slightly higher.

Second is the ground wire firmly connected to metal on the car without paint or anything that could be insulating it from having a good ground connection.

If you have more information makes models speck sheets that would help me with solving your problem faster

No sound radio honda accord 2004

Either radio is bad, or you have a loose connection to speakers, or poor ground connection at the radio. If a poor ground connection, the radio will intermittently not work also. Since radio continues to work, but sound does not, it is probably a bad audio circuit in the radio itself.

I unplug my battery , and when I plug again my radio doesnt work , the radio ask me for a code what I do?

Each time you disconnect the battery, the computer loses all codes for security system, radio, etc. If you know the code for radio, enter it into radio using the number buttons. To prevent this again in the future, you should purchase a power cord for the computer. It has the lighter plug on one end and a plug you connect to the car's computer. Plug the lighter plug into any 12 volt plug (not the lighter socket in your car)...you can purchase a portable jump starter with the 12 volt socket. The purpose of this is to keep the car's computer "powered" while you disconnect the battery.

Why do I have to set radio code every time I turn key on...1995 Honda Accord

Your radio is fused with two circuits. One circuit provides power when you turn the switch on. The other is a circuit that is on all the time so the clock keeps time, presets for the radio stations, etc... Is there anything else that doesn't work in your car? i.e. dome light, courtesy lights, etc.. anything that would be active without the key being turned on. Recheck your fuses.
Hope this helps.

Replaced battery in 1996 Honda Accord which deactivated radio.

You need to code ..punch in code then power radio up and it will work. For a fee if its the original radio for this car the code can be retrieved by the dealer. If you entered to code incorrectly more than 4 times you will need to disconnect battery for 30 second and re-enter code. good luck and thanks for using FIX YA
