My boot wont open

If the back seat folds down you can get in and take the cover off the boot lid and pull the levers to the lock and it will open. If the seats do not fold down you have to remove the back seats to get into the boot or just get a locksmith

The cable for the remote in the trunk came loose, now the trunk won't open with either the key or the button on the door. what to do?

You should be able to go in through the back seat. It will be a chore to remove the seat, but will probably be the only way to get in there. There is a safety release cable in the trunk that will opne it the lid for you once you get inside

I can't manage to open the petrol cap Is it to do with the central locking??

If its the lid cap)
just pull the gas tank lever,, and stick a flat head in the grrove where the locking cap is.. Pull the cap lever and pry with the screw driver at the same time.. It will pop open.. Chances are someone pushed the cap tohard inside and it locked in..

If its the cap on the petrol,, (UNDER THE LID),, spray around it with sime silicon oil or WD40,, (rust remover or a degreaser) let it sit for a few minuts then turn it off with a piece of cloth.. Push Down, pull up,, push down turn, pull up turn.. The rocking motion will loosen it..

Car tach jumps and cover of air filter blew off.

It sounds like the engine "backfired" and blew the cover off. This and having the tach "jumping" means that the engine timing is erratic. This can be caused by the crankshaft position sensor or the ignition module. It could also be cross firing at the coil pack,if so equipped. Make sure all of the wiring to these components is good.
