if radio code go to dealer with vin or vehicle and proof of ownership

check the ground leg to your engine.. it runs off the neg. battery terminal. will connect to frame and engine.. pull it off, wire brush it put it back.. you radio will work, 'cause it draws much less current, and is grounded in dash.

If you have the owners manual the code may be printed somewhere. Look under radio for guidance. Otherwise talk to a Chev dealer to learn how to get the code.

I had to replace battery cable--radio now does not work without "code" --anti theft code supposedly either put in by factory or previous owner (i bought it used at car dealer), local chev dealer could not find code and was no help. am i the only one that has this problem?? other than buying new radio what can i do? thanks![/QUOTE]

you need to get the code from a dealer sometimes it will be in your manual

try being nice and ask your local chevy parts man for the code, but you still need a professional scanner to reset and enter the code
