How do I level my tailgate one side is higher than the other on my vy ss ute

is this a new problem? Is the vehicle new to you?
Check the hinges and the bolts in the tailgate mounts. If they haven't moved the vehicle might have hit or been hit bending something.
If it's worrying you, take it to a bodywork specialist and they might be able to tell you why it's not level.
Is it a big difference? If not, it might be worth leaving it alone. Sorting it out could be simple or very expensive.

Quick fix - flush and change gearbox oil with new filter. may have to do couple of times- sounds like it has never been serviced. check sump of auto for foreign matter if oil red ok if brown - worn out.

you may have to unbolt the hinges if not slide off type
remove tail first then sides or tub bolts from underneath

I'd be going for the rebuild for $400 atleast you know it's done and all good. To do a change over disconnect all the cooling lines to the trans, undo the linkages, take out the tail shaft, disconnect all wiring to the trans, undo the bolts slide it out and replace. It's not a fun job without a hoist though

The GM dealer will calculate the code for you in two ticks. If it's aftermarket take it to a Blaupunkt dealer.

Just a long shot,but do you have the clutch disc in backwards?
It only goes in one way in most vehicles.Flywheel side to the flywheel.

did you use a pilot spline to align the clutch and did you change the pilot bearing in the end of the crank. The clutch plate maybe interfering with the pressure plate if it is not lined up.
