Tell me what fault you have in system? that you have to erase that ,,,it dose not make sense to say , I erase the transmission ....you erase the DTC in transmission or selector level , so give me better explanation to help you

Right side of steering wheel there is a control stickBottom of that stick there is a press button, that is a selector for the that display functions. Try that. Sorry I forgot actually what that stick controls.

You will need to check the gear linkage hasits free movement and the gearbox mounting is secure. This happen on a Polo recently and the securing bolt to the gearbox mounting had fallen off leaving the gearbox hanging. I hope this helps you.

you have a transmission fault the D4 light blinks to tell you that there is a transmission problem when the light is blinking the transmission computer put the transmission into limp home mode so it will not shift normally and you should try not to drive it very far when it gets to this stage you need to have the transmission codes check to pin point the problem
Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
problem(s)
