00 satunrn sc1 cooling fan wont work my engine overheat at idle, but if i turn on the a/c the fan works and it cools down the engine, check fuse good and relay seems good to, what are the possible cause?

All you should have to do is squeeze the plastic clips together, you may need a pliers. Another thing that helps is spray some WD-40 in there and rotate the filter on the line a little.

the car is older that 1996 there for you dont need emissions testing. if you wish to pass, check the carbon canister and the egr valve. if the temp gauge says the cars not over heating and the engine doesnt appear to be hot, dont worry about it.

Coolant fan does not engage and sc1 over heats.engages only when ac is on
have someone check the fan relay, or the wire that goes to the thermostat housing, pull the plug off the stem and if the fan comes on, replace that stem within the housing.
