Is there a recal on red arc trailer pro Elite electric trailer brake controller?

SOURCE: integrated brake controller will not

The reason why this does not work is because the brake control unit is designed to look for an inductive load(magnet coil). A elec/hyd pump assembly typically has a resistance value of anywhere from 400 to 1700 ohms. Most trailer wiring circuits are roughly 2.0 ohms or less. The control will not activate due to the fact it is not a designated trailer resistance for the brake control unit. At this point I have not heard of any suggested fix for this problem besides not ordering the GM control. Buy the Tekonsha P3 and it will take care of your problems.

Call dealer & ask them to run your vin# to see if it came with towing package. They shouldn't mind. If not, you'll have to wire it in yourself.

SOURCE: The trailer electric brake controller does not

i have a 2008 ford f250. when i pull my travel trailer the instrument gauge says trailer disconnected and it also says trailer wiring malfunction. then my trailer brake systems turns red and blinks. i took my ford to the dealer they said the truck is fine it is the trailer. than I took my trailer in to get looked at they said the trailer is ok and that 2008 fords have problems with the stock electric brake system what do i do

SOURCE: trailer brake controller problem

I found the problem. Talking with a technician from the controller company, we determined that it was a fuse problem. I found that the fuse to the CHMSL was blown.

I need wiring diagram for a zieman 1185 trailer,with electric brakes
you should have a brown,yellow, green and white for lights and a red and black for the brake electrical which is controlled from the front of the towing vehicle..only the front trailer axle has brakes in it..not all 4 wheels..if yopu connect a spare battery to the trailer brakes they should lock the wheels(or a strong battery charger..)the vehicle should have a auxilary brake control box under the dash within reach of the driver.. this has most of the controls in it..it should alsdo have an operation light on it that lights up when either the control lever is moved or the brake pedal is stepped on..hope this helps..repost findings..
