This can be something related to decreased power caused by fuel restriction , dirty fuel on the simple side of things otherwise bring it in.
Sometimes Error 82, 84, etc. appears in almost new Cruze with low mileage. Error indicator often operates wrongly in this car, so if you feel your car's working properly you should clear an error list first.
There are two ways to clear the error list:
1. You should visit your authorized service centre so they could make computer testing and remove all errors.
2. You should remove contact from battery for a while. About 20 minutes to an hour should be sufficient. Actually in this way you may solve many malfunctions of car's electronics.
If the problem still persists, take it to your local Chevy dealer or servicer. A lot of times updating the software can fix the problem.

Code 84 means a drop in engine power. May be several reasons:
1. Bad gasoline.
2. The throttle valve.
3. Error of the onboard computer.

Take it to a Holden dealer and get them to run a scan on the car with their diagnostic equipment which may throw up more fault codes. Once established the cause of the codes needs to be identified before you can see what needs to be repaired or replaced. It is most likely a common problem which they have seen many times on other Cruze vehicles.
