Have you checked to see if this is a wiring problem or maybe a relay problem?

Recently my lights would work on side lights and not anything else and this was down to dodgy wiring and needed a new relay unit.

SOURCE: Headlights on passenger side not working

all you need is to replace your headlightn relay. in time they get worn out and most of the common one on j3o`s is the driver side. relay is located in the driver side fender corner of firewall next to the cruise conrol bolted by one bolt.

look in the o/m for a relay in the fuse panel that controls the headlights it's not a fuse its a little silver box about the size of the search box on this page sometimes these will go bad and cause the headlights to cycle

chapmnfarm: your head lights use a "2" fuse system.
one for the left and one for the right.
The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood on the passenger's side. It is a black box roughly 8 inches long and 4-5 inches wide. When you remove the cover, you will see fuses and relays. What you are looking for is the section in the box which has a cluster of 7 fuses. 3 in one row and 4 in the other. On the outer parameter are two relays. The fuses you are interested in are located in the row of 4 fuses, with the two closest to the "L" shaped part of the box. Both of those should be 15 amp fuses.
The fuse below those should be a 20 amp which is the lighting switch and the one below it is a 15 amp which is for the interior lights and the clock.
Check your harness grounds in the engine compartment near the area you have the problem. There are ground wires which come out of the harness on both sides of the core support. The wires are black in color and have "EYES" crimped onto the ends of the wires. Both of them will probably be located about 4-6 inches below the upper tie bar on each side of the radiator. Odds are that the eyes will be large enough to pass a 6mm bolt through.

Helps to remove the battery, but small ahbds can do it.

Directly behind the lens is a big round cap ... twist it off. The bulb is held in place with a spring that locks in to a notch in the holder. When handling the new bulb, don't touch the glass. The oil from your skin will cause it to shatter when turned on.

Could be the lamp socket is bad. Try and new headlight lamp, if it still doesn't light, replace the socket.

I have a 2012 Kia Optima. The headlight side markers do not work, on either side. All other lights work fine. Does anyone know if there is a fuse, or if there is a common problem with these lights?

I'd start by checking the bulbs and then use a meter to check for power at the sockets.

2004 kia rio high and low beams not working. Fuse keeps blowing. Can't isolate a problem.

have you examined all of your headlight bulb sockets for any heat/fire damage? even if not, pull the bulbs, and use an appropriate headlight socket insulating grease to reduce temps and avoid corrosion.

when headlight bulbs are changed, it is suggested to use a socket grease insulator to seal them from humidity/corrosion AND to lower socket temps. without this grease, the headlight sockets could possibly catch fire and/or melt, and, if the exposed wiring then shorts, it would blow a fuse.

2006 brake light will not go out

Light gets power from brake light switch/.May be switch got shorted an brake light getting non-stop power causing it not to turn OFF brake light.

Get the brake light switch checked. Check volt at brake light switch.

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its wiring short for switch.

I have no break lights or turn signals

Turn signal tail lights and BRAKE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

It can be faulty brake light switch causing the problem or its blown brake light bulb. First check and confirm brake light lamp is working and that's not the case.

I want to change the headlight bulbs in a 2004 kia rio. How do I get the headlight out?

Look on the back side of the lite the bulb will plug into a removable socket You should not have to take the hole light out just the bulb On the back side the socket should twist a 1/4 turn one way or the other

2003 Kia Rio - low beams on the headlights sometimes go out - checked fuses, wire short, etc., but still happens -- though not all the time

I have this same problem, too, on my driver's side. If I tap the headlight a couple of times, it will come back on. I haven't replaced the bulb yet; the Fonzie move seems to work for now.
