SOURCE: I need to move the power steering pump to replace the water pump

the pulley needs to be removed to remove the PS pump, this pulley is pressed onto a tapered shaft (they used a bolt around 35 years ago), it requires a special power steering pulley remover/installer tool, u can borrow this tool from Kragen and other parts stores like them, as how it works, it can be a little hard to set it up if u have never used this tool before.

SOURCE: How do I replace the

Water Pump
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
CAUTION
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that
cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely
to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground.
This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a
sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or
several years old.

3.4L ENGINE -I thought that I selected 3.8L engine, maybe a misprint?

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system into a suitable container.
  3. Remove the air intake duct.
  4. Remove the top coil of the ignition coil pack.
  5. Loosen the tensioner pulley bolt/screw.
  6. Disconnect the heater hose from the water pump.
  7. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts/screws.
  8. Unfasten the power steering bracket bolts/screws.
  9. Remove the serpentine drive belt.
  10. Remove the water pump pulley.
  11. Remove the power steering pump bracket and swing the bracket and pump aside.
Do NOT disconnect the power steering lines from the pump.
  12. Unfasten the water pump and engine front cover bolts/screws, then remove the
water pump assembly from the vehicle.
  13. Remove and discard the gasket and thoroughly clean the gasket mating
    surfaces.

the water pump retaining bolts/screws, except the bottom three, and tighten to
    33 ft. lbs. (45 Nm).
  15. Install the engine front cover bolts/screws and tighten to 16 ft. lbs. (21
Nm) for 1993-94 vehicles, or to 97 inch lbs. (11 Nm) for 1995 vehicles.

    ft. lbs. (40 Nm).
  21. Connect the heater hose to the water pump.
  22. Install the top coil to the ignition coil pack.
  23. Attach the electrical connector to the alternator.
  24. Install the air inlet duct and air cleaner assembly.
  25. Connect the negative battery cable.
  26. Fill the cooling system. Start the engine and check for leaks.

2000 camero leak is this a better video? 3800 series 2 v6

Hopefully what you have shown is behind the water pump and the leak is water and not oil. If it is water you need to replace the water pump and its seal, if not, the engine will require much more detailed tear down. Get yourself a Haynes repair manual for your 2000 Camaro V6 at your local auto parts store and check out the engine parts locations.

You have more than one engine and transmision mounts on your vehicle
upper mounts easy to install but bottom two is little hard because hard access to bolts good idea to work with lift and make sure your engine secured on level before losen any bolt from mounts !!! If you dont have proper tools good idea to let some one do it for you be safe!
