SOURCE: I need to move the power steering pump to replace the water pump
the pulley needs to be removed to remove the PS pump, this pulley is pressed onto a tapered shaft (they used a bolt around 35 years ago), it requires a special power steering pulley remover/installer tool, u can borrow this tool from Kragen and other parts stores like them, as how it works, it can be a little hard to set it up if u have never used this tool before.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
CAUTION
When draining the coolant, keep in mind that
cats and dogs are attracted by ethylene glycol antifreeze, and are quite likely
to drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground.
This will prove fatal in sufficient quantity. Always drain the coolant into a
sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or
several years old.
3.4L ENGINE -I thought that I selected 3.8L engine, maybe a misprint?
