Have your O2 sensors checked, with an OBD2 meter, and see if they are functioning, if not replace them. O2 sensor is located in the exhaust pipe between the motor and the catalytic converter. The front O2 sensor runs the engine and the after cat converter monitors the cat converter.

SOURCE: 2001 kia rio fuel pump does not work

Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.

Will crank,but wont start

Check the engine control modular. Ask your parts store where it is and what it looks like. You can check for spark to the spark plug to be sure!

2001 kia rio wont maintain idle. 80k. cleaned mass air, and iac as well, any ideas? [email protected]

you may have a simple vacum leak. follow all the vacum hoses and look for dry rotted hoses or hoses with holes in them. like the one that goes to the mass air sensor would be a good place to start. if you find bad hoses than replace them.

I have a 2004 kia rio manual trans. it will crank but wont start. the cam shaft pos. sensor code was read off the car. erased, then came back on after i tried to start the car again. we already replaced...

Did you reset the code after replacing the sensor? If it is accessable you may want to try to wiggle or hold the camshaft position sensor while cranking to see if this helps. On most of the vehicles I have had a problem with this sensor, most won't even crank when there is a sensor issue. So you may have another problem on your hands.
