My 09 outlook has heat problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is true for the blower as well. Any suggestions what it could be? Some suggest the blower motor resistor is the problem.
For the fan the motor resistor would be a possible cause, but the heat itself doesnt come up to temp? That wouldnt be a fan problem.
As far as resister look for blower motor control module, #8 in picture. #7 is the blower motor, under passenger side dash. The blower motor showed two wire connector, purple wire is voltage, black wire is ground, take connector loose, use test light at the two terminals on wire connector, key on, hvac turned on, if the test light comes on, hopefully that means voltage and ground for the blower motor are good. If good voltage and ground with no blower action, the blower motor is faulty. Just my opinion.

the motor is on the passenger side firewall and is held in by 3 screws.you have to unplug the motor pull the screws and put the new motor in the same way

Motor is also energized by a relay. check that and also check that the motor itself is good by running a hot lead right to it. I'm sure you already checked the fuse and know the switch is good?

Most of the time this has to deal with a poor ground connection. Everything around the motor is plastic so the ground wire is the only place the motor ground. I gave up trying to find the problem connection and attached a secondary ground to the motor and fixed it. U get to the motor under the hood in between wipers. Remove filter -remove 4 screws on blower cover. The blower slides out. attach a ground wire on the rear screw on the motor. Find a good ground for that wire & your done. I put a small hole under the blower and attached it to the frame ground right behind radio. Any good ground will work.

You've looked on the HVAC housing near the blower motor right behind the a/c high pressure cutoff switch. It will have two screws holding it into place. A single connector with Two light green with white wires, a blue, and a tan wire.
I am a little concerned that it does not work on high speed which according to my diagrams should bypass the resistor and be controlled by the high speed blower relay.
There should be two wires on the connector for the blower motor. The dark blue is the power supply to the blower. The light green with whtie is the ground control. There should be power on the blue wire anytime the heater is on and the key is in the run position. The lt green wire should be grounded anytime the heater is on and when the speed switch is is any position.
