SOURCE: How do you replace the rear u joint on a 99' gmc

Mark the driveshaft and yoke in a manner that will allow you to reassemble it in the same orientation that it's in now. This is done to avoid driveline vibrations. Next remove the 4 7/16" head bolts on the driveshaft yoke. Use a lone screw driver or pry bar to pop the driveshaft off the yoke and slide the other end out of the transmission. Using a u-joint tool press out the old u-joint and press in the new one. You could bring this to a machine shop or a mechanic and have them do it for you if you don't have the correct tools. I think autozone may rent a ball joint press out for free. Next reassemble it orientated the same way you took it off.

5w30 is the normal oil viscosity that GM recommends on most all of there vehicle from that era.

The four cylinder will hold about 4.25 quarts and the V-6 maybe a tad more. Like I tell all of hour new guys they take as much as needed to read full on the dipstick. If you're changing oil have five quarts ready and you have a little left over for topping off.

Sonoma gmc 2000 head lights And high beam dont work

First check fuses. If you have a separate light switch in the dash, this needs checked. If the light switch is in the turn signal handle. Replace the turn signal switch. All exterior lights run threw it. 99% of the time it is the TS switch. Small plastic pieces inside of it melt. It's not a ground, as both sides have their own ground points.

As soon as i turnthe key the ecmbfuse blowson my 99 gmc sonoma

Unplug the connectors from the ECM. Try good fuse and then turn key on. If it does not blow then the ECM has an internal short to ground and needs replacement.

Get a female garden hose adapter from the local hardware store. Disconnect the heater hose from behind the fan pulley and attach the hose connection. Disconnect the other heater hose behind the alternator, aim it towards the ground and flush water through the heater core. This worked on my truck.
