Follow the air filter tube until it enters the intake manifold. The throttle body is connected to the intake manifold.

SOURCE: erg valve

The EGR valve is located next to the TPS connector. It has two bolts holding it in place. You will need to replace the gasket when you take it off.

SOURCE: oil filter location?

the oil filter is on top of the engine bay, it is under a plastic screw on cover towards the drivers side front of the engine next to the intake manifold, if there is a cover on the engine you might need to take it off to see it, the filter clips on to the back plastic screw on cover. it requires a large socket size to remove.

SOURCE: can I clean my Maf sensor and throttle body myself

Yes it will help car run better. Take off any hose that goes to card so that you can see down throttle bore. Start car. Grab throttle linkage and figure out how to move it so that you can make the engine go faster. Begine to spray inside throttle body using little red hose that came with carb cleaner. While you are spraying the engine will try to cut out move the throttle linkage to speed up the engine so it won't cut out. Keep spraying all around inside and outside throttle bore.

2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5 liter, 6 cylinder. Looking for the idle air control (IAC) valve location please.

The 2004 Suzuki Verona 2.5L does not utilize an idle air control (IAC) valve. Instead, an electronic throttle control (ETC) system is used which Suzuki calls the "main throttle idle actuator" (MTIA). This component is the throttle body assembly but with an internal motor that adjusts the throttle plate open or closed based on accelerator pedal position inputs to the engine control module (ECM). Similarly, the ECM adjusts the throttle plate angle at idle to control idle speed. If the idle speed is not correct, the throttle body may need to be cleaned, calibrated or replaced. Where is the location of the idle air control valve in a 2004 chevy malibu?

If there are no cables coming off throttle body to control throttle there is no Idle Air Control valve. the idle is controlled electronically by the computer. If car is idling rough you can clean throttle body to correct this problem. If you do have cables to control throttle the IAC valve is located right next to throttle body attached to it. Hope this helps

2001 escort iddling very rough.

I have the same problem with my ZX2. First you have to find out what engine you have to find out what emission control system you have. if you have a ERG valve clean it and your throttle body. Throttle body cleaner is under 10 bucks at autozone. If you don't have an ERG valve you might need a new idle air control it is 100 bucks at autozone and on the ztec engine it is bolted underneath the throttle body. you should also clean your mass air flow sensor which is located in your air cleaner right behind your air filter, after all of that check all your vacuum lines for leaks and if that does not fix it you might need a new PCV valve this one is pretty cheap about 5 dollars.

It shows how to clean, and reinstall the throttle body on a 4.2 inline 6 trailblazer. which I believe is very much like your Envoy. The idle air control valve is located on the & is part of the throttle body It's the part the wires attach to

My 96 nissan sentra shuts down at times in idle at stop light, allready installed new plugs roter and plug wires

Disconnect the air ducting between the air filter box and the throttle. Clean your throttle body interior with a cloth and plenty of carb choke spray (WD40 is good too). Idling is controlled by the engine's computer and the Idle Air Control Valve IACV . This device allows air passed the closed throttle plate when the engine is at idle. Locate the inlet port in front of the throttle plate in the inside wall of the throttle body. Locate the IACV on the outside of the throttle and remove it. Give it and associated passageways a really good clean. Make sure the valve and valve seat are free of crud. Re-assemble and this should cure the problem

My 2004 Grand Prix GTP starts right away when cold, but once it's warmed up it's hard starting. It will just crank and crank until you give it some gas. What is wrong and how can I fix this problem?...

The usual cause for this problem is the IAC valve. It gets carbon buildup on it that becomes sticky when it is hot, such as after reaching normal operating temperature.

Carefully remove the valve from the throttle body, paying close attention to where the rubber o-ring is...it may come out with the valve or it may stay seated to the valve mounting hole. Either way...don't lose it.

On the valve is the pintle that sits in the throttle body air path, allowing or restricting air intake when your foot is off the pedal...if it is stuck, then pushing the pedal is the only other way your engine can get air.
Use a tooth brush and brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner on the IAC valve and inside it's mounting hole. Carbon buildup in this area is completely normal, however, running premium fuel and keeping a clean air filter will help the engine keep the right air to fuel mixture and minimize the problem...and save your starter too.

TRY CLEANING THE IAC. LOCATED IN THE THROTTLE BODY AT FRESH AIR RETURN HOSE FROM THE AIR FILTER CASING. HAS TWO WIRES AND ONE SCREW. REMOVE SCREW PULL OUT IAC AND SPRAY WITH CARB CLEANER THAT DOES NOT LEAVE RESIDO. MAKE SURE THE O RING IN SOCKET IN PLACE ON REINSTALLATION. P.S. THIS REFERS TO THE 2.3L. THE 2.2L MAY HAVE EGR VALVE.

1999 Transport constantly stalls immediately after starting on several occasions, I suspect a air flow or vacuum issue

Replace the fuel filter and try cleaning out the idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is located in the throttle body and can be cleaned by spraying throttle body cleaner through the throttle body and in through the IAC passage way in the throttle body. The IAC is know to get stuck with carbon build up causing the stalling of the engine and also check to make sure any electrical connections at the throttle body like the one to the IAC is not damaged at all due to corrosion. Good luck and make sure you use throttle body cleaner, carn cleaner is to corrosive to the gaskets used on throttle body's.
