SOURCE: Car just stopped (sudden stop) when it's running on the road.

You will need to Change the Fuel Pump and Fuel Filter and Also Check the Belt Tension. If it is even a little loose it will not Charge the Battery and could cause this problem also. Let me know what you find.

SOURCE: 96 grand am won't start!

I just went thru a similar problem. When I changed my fuel filter the problem stopped. I can't say that it is the exact solution for your problem. But it is a cheap fix if it is. You can remove the old one and tell before you buy a new one. The filter is located in fron of the gas tank. It comes off easily. If its clogged then replace it. ( I recommend replacing it evey year anyways). There are a few other possible problems that it could be. I hope this helps

SOURCE: 05 ford escape wont start. jump started it and it

okay try this....talk to your parts store and get a battery load tester, and find out if the battery is indeed dead. My guess is it sounds like the Altenator is dying. they are around 50-100 and can be install by a pro in minutes.

Chervolet Captiva 2.0D 2010

The problem you're experiencing with your 2010 Chevrolet Captiva 2.0D not starting, even though the starter relay, starter, and ground cable are okay and the battery is new, could be caused by a few different issues. Here are a few possible causes and solutions:
  1. Engine control module (ECM) - The ECM may malfunction and not send the proper signals to start the engine. A mechanic will need to diagnose and replace the ECM if necessary.
  2. Ignition switch - The ignition switch may be faulty and not sending power to the starter relay. A mechanic can check the switch and replace it if necessary.
  3. Wiring issue - There could be a problem with the wiring between the starter relay and the ignition switch. A mechanic will need to check the wiring and repair any damaged or corroded wires.
  4. Anti-theft system - If your Captiva is equipped with an anti-theft system, it may have malfunctioned and prevented the car from starting.
  5. Engine sensor - there could be a problem with the engine sensor such as the camshaft position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, or Throttle position sensor. A malfunctioning sensor can prevent the engine from starting or running correctly.
  6. Fuel system issue - There could be a problem with the fuel system such as a malfunctioning fuel pump or a problem with the fuel pressure.
It's important to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic to diagnose the problem and perform the necessary repairs. Some of the issues can be easy to fix, but some require more extensive repairs and knowledge of the systems.

Cruise control notworking on a 2002 F150

cruise controls are controlled by the following switches and sensors
1 the switch itself
2-- the clutch pedal sensor or the VSS in the auto transmission
3 the brake sensor ---4-- the gear change switch or selector
5-- the engine speed sensor ( tacho)
6-- the road speed (VSS )
if 1 or a combination is not working or is outside parameters , the cruise control will not switch on
the road speed in a manual is set at around 20 mph and any less will not engage cruise control(CC)
changing gears in a manual will disengage CC
touching the clutch pedal will not allow engagement or will disengage CC
for some sensors run the fault codes

2011. Why has cruise control failed?

cruise controls are controlled by several units
VSS or road speed sensor, clutch and brake sensors , engine speed (tacho) and the on/off switch
cruise controls will disengage automatically if the road speed is too slow ( higher for manuals than autos ) so if the road speed is below around 20mph it may not engage at all as the VSS says it is too slow for the engine rpms
check all sensors for adjustment

I have a vs ute hsv v8 auto The digital speedometer and speed alert and cruise control are not working there is power to speed alert and cruise control but cruise doesn't engage or hold at all.

run the fault codes and look for a faulty VSS sensor as it works the speedo and gives information to the cruise control as to road speed to keep the vehivlr at the set speed

What does the MIL code "PO 320" mean, please?

code p0320 refers to cam shaft position (CKP) sensor/engine speed (RPM) sensor--circuit malfunction=== causes --wiring--CKP/RPM sensor ---ECM
because the engine runs ok until it is on cruise control I would be investigating the RPM sensor for a fault
The cruise control takes its control from the RPM sensor and if that circuit is interminable the the cruise control doesn't know what rpms to maintain.

Why did the motor die while I was driving down the road when I turned on the a/c and fan?

If the engine overheated then the antifreeze may be getting into the engine, indicating a cracked head or block. check for water in oil via dipstick. .

Cruise control

i had this problem and fixed it. The switch on the brake pedal was slightly off adjustment and was detecting as though the brake was always on, disengaging the cruise control. I pulled it apart and put it back together and made sure it was working ok, now my cruise control is working ok.
