sounds like the frost plug(freeze plug)let go and needs to be replaced. may have overheated the motor and it stopped due to overheating, as you say it was running and then just stopped and won`t start. just so you know the right side of the motor is the side facing the radiator as the pulleys face the drivers side. this is how a tech differentiates left from right on a Honda. fill with the proper anti-freeze and water mixture. this is all the help I can give you with the information you have supplied.
freeze plugs pressed out by coolent not suffencient to stop freezing at your local temp. Reinstall freeze plug and look for more that may have been forcedout. common locations are sides of engine, and there are some in the very rear against the firewall.. head or engine removal neccessary.
Most likely a frost plug, you may need a mirror to see it.
The head is not likely to just leak from the back, check for steam from the exhaust when hot.
Hi,
Looks like the one advises u about the coolant plug( rubber cap that stops the coolant from accessory tube ) or u have a leaking water pump is right!
The age of ur might have taken its toll to those parts!
Better check on those!
To be totally honest it usually isn't a good idea to use stop leak when you have a frost plug leak. The best solution is to have it replaced. If this is not an option, I recommend Bar's stop leak, it has worked very well for me in the past.
the car is going to have to be inspected. it will have to be pressure tested to see where the leak is. there are several area's back there that can leak
you might is it leaking? if not wouldnt worry if so would get fixed asap(you can put stop leak its a little tube looks like aluminum shavings put into radiator when warm and run may need couple of them to stop leak unless its pouring out!!!! :)
