See if it feels like it has hydraulic pressure ,if clutch feels like it has pressure then it should work ,but if its still not going into gear then you may need to remove the gearbox and check the clutch itself .If for any reason you are not sure then ask around for a local mobile mechanic to give a second opinion .replacing the slave cylinder i dont feel is the answer because if it wasnt working then it would have fluid all over the floor .

SOURCE: which cylinder in #6 on a 2006 V6 hyundai sonata

Autozone.com says that for this vehicle the firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6 and the set-up is 2/1 4/3 6/5 meaning that the #6 cylinder is far right on the back. It goes #1 #3 and #5 in the front and #2 #4 and #6 in the back.

SOURCE: 2002 Hyundai Accent won't go into gear.

Probably the arm that holds the rtelease bearing in the bell housing has slipped out of place. Get someone to depress the clutch while you check the arm is not loose. If the cylinders are working then its most likely the arm is disconected. If you are lucky you may get it put back in place by looking through the inspection hole but most likely you will have to seperate the engine and gearbox. Sorry I havent better news for you.

SOURCE: How to replace clutch master cylinder and slave

Starting with the slave , remove the line going to slave then remove the two bolts holding it to the trany and install new one in reverse order, next is the master, from inside the car dissconnect the linkage arm, this is done by removing the clip pin and sliding arm off pedal pin, next remove the resivor and hose. leave hose on resivor remove from master.next remove line from the master then remove the two bolts holding it to firewall, you may have to remove a few things to get the master out this all depends on if theres cruise and a vac valve in the way but this is easy to do.you will need to remove the resivior also when installing new master, bolt it in and connect the linkage make sure the linkage is adjusted as close to the old one as you can leave the adjusting nut a little loose for know after it all connected leave line off and fill with brake fluid have someone inside to push pedal they may have to pull up so you the hand to push and pull pedal, next put your finger over the hole the line goes in and have them push pedal to floor the fluid will push through your finger, do this a few times but watch the fluid level so it doesnt empty, a few time is good then with pedal up remove finger and install line tight, refill with fluid, then have them pump peal three times and hold down, open bleeder at slave, close bleeder and pump pedal again and hold and open bleeder do this a few times until you have a good pedal you will see the slave push out. test the clutch if it works good tighten adjusting nut, if it grabs to soon or doesnt go into gear then adjust, hope this helps.johnjohn2_65.jpg

2005/6 Hyundai Tucson. Why is the slave cylinder arm lever fully extended?

It sounds like something not put back correctly or adjusted. Was the slave cylinder arm push in when you bled the system? There may be air behind it. Did you use a pressure bleed system, slave up to Master. Lots of help in the links.

I have ab2005 Hyundai sonata I replaced my master cylinder and it won't go into gear or start do I have to replace the slave cylinder too

The master & slave cylinders have nothing to do w each other. If u now have a good brake pedal, make sure your in park when starting. If u have good pressure in the clutch pedal, leave the slave alone. sounds like u may of had 2 different problems. Have the trans professionally checked if u have no experience w them. Good luck

I have a 2004 hyundai sonata, I have replaced the master and slave cylinders for the clutch but the clutch problem still does not have pressure, any suggestions?

U have to ensure that you bleed the air out of the system in order to get hydraulic pressure. Any air in the lines and it will not work.

Clutch slave cylinder wont come up to presure

If the master cylider and slave cylinder have been rebuilt and they won't hold, it sounds like there is an internal leak in one end of the system.
Could be a damaged (cracked) cylinder where the rubber cup will not seal.

My 1994 Nissan Altima's clutch is leaking fluid and the clutch goes all the way down to the floor, it will not go into gear

The solution is pretty cut-and-dry. Fix the fluid leak and your transmission will go into gear. I don't know what to tell you to fix exactly because I do not know where it is leaking from. If it is leaking from the slave cylinder, replace the slave cylinder; If it is leaking from the master cylinder, replace the master cylinder, etc.

Fixing just one part of the clutch may not be the best option for you however. Clutch parts seem to wear out all within a few thousand miles of one-another. Depending on how many miles are on your vehicle you may want to do a complete clutch replacement so you won't have any further clutch problems for several years.

My car is a hyundai sonata 2008. I have to pump my clutch multiple times to get the gear in. My boyfriend is looking for a clutch master cylinder reservoir. Can you tell me where it is?

When you open the hood and you're looking directly in front like facing the driver's seat it will be on the right corner when you're facing the driver's seat. It looks like a break fluid reservoir only smaller and it's usually about a foot or so below from the top.
Good luck

I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon and sometimes not all the time its hard to put it in gear! sometimes i have to press the clutch twice just to get it on gear.. sometime when its in gear its gets very...

usually when you have problems changing gears, there is a problem with the clutch not disengaging completely. If it is cable actuated, the cable just needs to be adjusted. If it is a hydraulically actuated clutch, I would first suspect a leaky slave cylinder as the culprit. it could also be the master cylinder. First check the fluid level on the master cylinder. Then try looking under the slave cylinder(it will be located somewhere around where the engine is bolted to the transmission), if you can find it, to see if there are signs of fluid leaking. You should do the same thing for the master cylinder. If the fluid is low, fill it up, then bleed the system and try it out for a while, you may have a slow leak that needs more time to really present its self. If you can really tell that one of the cylinders has been leaking, replace that cylinder it. In my experience it is more common for the slave cylinder to go bad but I have replaced my share of master cylinders too. Good luck!!!
