I don't believe your particular vehicle's cooling system needs to be bled during coolant filling, but check the coolant level first. It seems that the coolant level is too low for the sensors to be able to sense the temperature, or the sensors are disconnected. Look for a connector on the intake manifold, near the coolant outlet. Ensure it is properly connected.

SOURCE: my 1999 plymouth voyager van's radiator fan constantly on

There is a fan relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment. Usually that is the reason why it won't turn off. It fuses in the on position. If you have the manual it will say which one is the fan relay. just pull it out and get a new one. They are not expensive.

Hope this helps

I have a 94 plymouth sundance 6 cylinder the fan that cools he radiator is not working what is he problem

3liter 6cyl? (5 or 6 engines used, 2.2L up to 3.8)
in all cases (engine rad cooling fan) (seems not)
clutch fan failure? (if old mech. type fan) replace it.
if electric fan?
  1. bad control sensor.
  2. bad controller
  3. bad fan relay
  4. bad fan
  5. bad wire/ connections between them.

what we do is get it hot and see if fan works at the FSM stated trip temperature. (225F is a guess, ) alldata.com has this number too.
if the fan is dead, we check voltage the fan, 12v ? fan is dead.
0 volts? yes, then control is bad.
the work backwards from here, finding true cause. easy huh?
any cheap voltmeter made works .

the ECT is for the engine. EFI system. TBI?
but the Fsm states.
All models equipped with electric cooling fans use this sensor to control the cooling (radiator) fan operation.

i dont have the wiring set for this car.
try alldata.com and use that for fan wiring ,etc.

1990 plymouth acclaim. radiator fan does not work. Radiator is holding fluid and pressure. runs fine at 55 mph because the air cools the engine> can not stop and go drive in city. Could this be a bad...

You can unplug the fan & put battery voltage to it

It is a dc motor & will run either direction depending
on how you hook it up

If it works then look on the radiator tank near the bottom
for a fan switch, will have a couple wires, will have to drain
coolant to remove

If you find one you can put in a pot on the stove & heat it up
in water & use your meter to check for it to close or come on
