SOURCE: key is stuck in ignition in 2007 hyundai sonata

The problem is in the tumbler(s) inside the assembly. Before you do anything, try penetrating oil to see if that works... otherwise, the entire assembly will need to be replaced.

SOURCE: key fob wont disable alarm on hyundai coupe

One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!

SOURCE: 00 hyundai accent, wont start light on dash with

Could be as simple as a blown fuse for the ETACS module, but it sounds more like a problem with the anti theft immobilizer system. Does your car have remote keyless entry? And is the key you are using a factory key or one someone made? (factory key will be encased in bulky black plastic with hyundai logo) The transponder in the key might have worn out and is not talking to the car anymore. Some hyundais use the radio antenna to receive the signal, is there an antenna on the car? Is it hooked up? If it is a problem with the key and immobilizer system, It will unfortunately need towed to a dealer and reprogrammed.

Rather than taking it to a mechanic, find a local auto-electrician. They are specialists in electrics only particularly locks, alarms and modules.

Changed ignition and door locks and now my hyundai sonata wont start

Your original keys had a computer chip in them that is programed to your car's computer and you will have to have a dealership reprogram your new keys to match your car's computer. or if you still have the original ignition lock you can reinstall it and contact your local dealership and give them your car's Vin# which is located on title or vehicle registration. And most dealerships can make you a new ignition key. Then your car should sta

Bought a car and the engine key doesn't open then door

If the ignition key does not open either door, the previous owner could have replaced the ignition lock.
The dealer may be able to cut you a door key from the VIN number.

How do you reprogram a key fob for a hyundai coupe?

This came directly from my Hyundia service guy:

Unlock the car, get in and close all doors. Turn the ignition key to ACC, press the Unlock button till blinkers flash. That's it. Get out of the car and see if it works.

Good luck.

Car key got broke inside car door

Try spraying some type of lubricant like wd40 in the key hole and using a small metal pick to dig the broken part out. You can also use skinny flat piece of metal like a nail file and place a strong magnet on the end of it with any luck it will grab the broken piece of key. Good Luck
