Just a idea. If the car is running at idle and the oil light blinks , it usually from low oil pressure. At a idle your seeing the light respond to the revolutions of the engine. ! thing to try is to replace the oil pressure switch on the engine block. And #2, Most causes in a VW is that the vehicle overheated at one time and weekend the oil pump,or massive amount of miles.

When the ABS light is on when driving there is a problem in the anti lock brake system and you will need to have it tested to find out what the problem is. As long as the light is on the ABS has been shut off by the computer until it is repaired. There could be problems with one of the wheel speed sensors, wiring or the ABS pump. On some vehicles the red brake light will come on too.

car is sensing a problem with the stability control system (DSC) or the antilock brake system (ABS). usually an ABS problem will turn off the DSC, so DSC may be ok, just ABS needs a look at.

since its an '08 model, it should still be covered by the BMW warranty provided you live in the USA. take it in and have them fix it. not safe driving with both systems deactivated.

35 psi is the assigned "maximum load" pressure for standard load tires and 41 psi is the assigned "maximum load" pressure for extra load tires.

Hmm, I'm not sure what a main chip is but, there is a few reasons for this problem.

ABS Sensors - there could be something wrong with a sensor and/or the wiring to them
The wheel bearing speed sensor in a wheel is bad or intermittent which then tells the computer that wheel is traveling at a faster or slower rate of speed then the rest which in then the computer turns the abs light on.

Now when your warning lights go on, the computer sets a DTC code which is the key to helping solve this problem. If you can get the DTC (Data Trouble Code) from the dealership or from someone who can scan your can, I can better assist you in figuring out what's wrong. Hope this helps.

There was a tsb on abs sensors for this condition, usually found in rear wheel bearing or hub assembly replacement, if you have access to a good scan tool watch the readings to isolate the problem, also something else to inspect is the connection... remove connector and inspect it for corrosion, usually green rust.... if not to corroded clean it up has best possible and tight those pin connectors, use dielectric grease and try.. you may get lucky but it will buy some time to order a new hub or just drive it until lites comeback. Good luck

could be a bad sensor, broken sensor ring, dirty brake fluid, low brake fluid broken sensor wire, have your car scan that way you will now exactly what the problem is.

The advance trac and awd are not working correctly At start up my 2005 mercury mountaineer has the abs light on , after driving about 50 yards the awd lock light blinks several times then goes to awd...

You current issue is no different than any other
vehicle problem you have had since 1996 when
the OBD2 Systems came into being

You have a MIL Lamp on or check light as some people
call it

You should have checked fore codes immediately within a day
or so to at least know the codes & then googled them to get
some idea of the issues

You know that you have an ABS Braking System issue based on
your owners manual & your abiltiy to recognize Advance Trac etc

Have to have a shop diagnose that system with professional tools

With an AWD issue possible I wouldn't even use it until fixed

The trac control is ussually a bad wheel speed sensor or related
issue

My ABS light is on and its like the brakes are

Bring the vehicle into a repair shop ASAP. There are several things that can be wrong such as calipers master cylinder, module,fluid exhaust valves . ABS problems will affect AWD. So in all likelyhood once ABS problem is cleared AWD will be fine.

On dash board fuel empty light does no display but ABS display

the fuel light might possibly just be burned out, easy fix, the abs light could be because of low brake fluid pressure, or some other brake problem, hope this helps
