Does scanning for codes come up with any?
This could be your spark plug coils going bad on a few cylinders or a vacuum leak. I prefer the coils as that is easier to diagnose and fix.

SOURCE: 2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo problems

It should be noted that I personally do not own this car; my grandparents do. I've had the pleasure of driving it on a number of occasions though, and as I was the one who recommended it to them, I try to keep up on whether anything has gone wrong with it or not. And, to the best of my knowledge the car has been completely flawless. No reliability problems at all.

SOURCE: 2006 Porsche cayenne trunk will not open.

Emergency operation of rear lid
If the rear lid cannot be opened with the radio
remote control (e.g., if the battery of the remote
control is dead), the emergency operation must
be performed:
1. Unlock and open the driver's door with the
vehicle key.
2. Switch on the ignition so that the alarm system
will not be triggered.
3. Check if the TAILGATE function is activated in
the multi-purpose display of the instrument
panel.
Please observe the chapter “TAILGATE” on
Page 119.
4. Press the central locking button in the armrest.
The rear lid is now unlocked and can be opened
with the unlocking handle

Timing chain on 2005 Porsche Cayenne

I am not a Cayenne guy but first and formost the timing belt on Porsche's absolutely must be changed every 60k miles or sooner and the water pump every other time, just for good measure. A rough idle after 1 hour driving does not sound like a timing belt issue to me. I would call/attend a local Porsche Club of America (PCA) event and ask around as to who the best mechanic/shop owner is. In the mean time, IF it is the timing belt DON'T DRIVE IT!!!!! if the belt breaks while the engine is running, you may as well buy a new engine! Get very familiar with everything Porsche and your vehicle will last and love you for a very long time. If you don't it will destroy you and your pocket book!

I hope this gets you in the right direction!

My Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2003-2006 sat nav is out of sync, it tells me to turn after I have made the manover, the display is the same, as if the Satnav is in the car behind me.

it sounds that you need to calibrate it , get your hands on the car manual and see if it has the procedure to re calibrate it
