Brakes binding can be the pistons sticking. this could be down to the brake fluid is old and has water in it or the pistons have a coating of rust on them, if you dont want to remove them you will need a meta space and fit this in were the disc and brake pads fit but it needs to be 8mm thicker than the combined thickness of all 3 fitted, and then pump on the brake so the piston is out and then clean it with a wire brush. and brake cleaner. push it back in and do the same again till its free. making sure there is enough brake fluid in the system, only do one wheel at a time. before refitting clean the runners on the brake pads location and the run liners. and use copper grease on all moving parts on the brake runners and the back of were the parts contact each other. one wheel at a time and remove disc and clean with wire brush and drill remove rust and wipe clean with brake cleaner.

Hi i have a Toyota Runx and its binding its three wheels i tried to clean the brake boosters buts its still binding plis kindly help

I suggest you open the bleed nipple at each brake that is binding and if the brake releases the problem is probably caused by a sticking booster, master cylinder or a maladjusted linkage or booster push-rod.
When everything is correctly adjusted/set a small clearance should exist between the booster push-rod and the fully returned master cylinder piston.

If each brake doesn't release the problem is clearly lack of maintenance of the brakes which will need dismantling and checking to locate the trouble.

How I fix my brakes after they've locked up??

can be several causes. Faulty master cylinder , binding wheel cylinders, faulty brake hoses , oil on brake linings, binding brake adjusters , faulty brake booster. Best to take to a brake repair shop. Or buy a workshop manual and a full set of tools including safety stands and floor jack.

My 1995 Toyota corolla gle 1.6 fuel injector problem is it started by binding ,, we changed master cylinder.. now only two opposite side apply brake & the other two don't work ==how

did you bleed all the brakes???

perhaps you need to check the distribution hub
all the pipes from the calipers go to a central hub then to the master brake cyclider
sometimes there is two slaves instead
so youll need to check perhaps one has failed
usually the O rings seals inside are worn
something stuck somewhere or air in the system

Whenever I am cruising and releases the gas pedal to slow down, my Toyota Rav 4 suddenly drags or slows down in a rough manner just like an engine brake instead of smoothly slowing down.

Check that the brakes are not binding . On a level road with the hand brake off and out of gear the car should be able to be pushed forward and back with out any signs of binding.

Should piston go all the way back where it is flush with piston outer housing?

Measure the thickness of the disc. It could be thin enough with the worn bads that the piston is coming out so far that it is binding in the bore.

How to trouble shoot shifter not coming out of park with the foot on the brake? 1996 Toyota Avalon.

Could be the brake switch or the park lock solenoid.
The brake pedal sends a signal to the soleniod, or interrupts power to the solenoid when depressed.
Something could also be binding in the shift linkage.

Toyota corolla ae110 brakes binding

Please DO NOT drive in with the vehicle in this condition!!!!
What you have going on is that the brake caliper (part that holds your brake pads) is bad and sticking. Just remove it, get a NEW one from any chain autoparts store, and replace it. You will have to get a new set of pads as well,as due to the binding, the ones on there now are trashed.

Again,PLEASE do NOT drive in this condition as yours and your fellow drivers ,as well as your passengers safety is at stake.
