Dash lights are dim can't brighten them
The dimmer is on the headlight switch it is a turn style type variable resistor with the final click turning on the courtesy light in the cab as well as the cargo light for the bed. you will have to take off the instrument cluster cover held in by clips and a couple of screws then with a little effort to get your hand in behind thee cluster assembly you can reach the top of the headlight switch and there you will find a little spring loaded button push down on it and this will allow you to pull the switch knob and shaft out of the switch then with a spanner wrench or a pair of needle nose pliers stick them into the 2 little holes on the nut that you pulled the shaft and knob out of. unscrew the nut and then pull the switch out to where you can disconnect the plug that attaches it to the wiring harness replacement is the reversal of removal but you can just push the shaft back in without pushing the button again and if it really was the dimmer on the switch causing your problem the you should be good to go. good luck and let there be light!!!
