It is not a trouble code it is a system code, such as it did not receive a signal from something. Trouble codes start with a P

U1120 means the PCM doesn't receive a vehicle speed signal from the Anti-lock brake Module over the CAN C bus. This can be caused by the ABS module, PCM or something wrong with the can bus. This might be just an erroneous code and may never set again.

There is no code 83 for a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara, according to Alldata. Most all codes are displayed as 5 digits (eg. P0121, P0451, P0130 etc....). Recheck your code, maybe you are mistaken.

I believe that only a dealer can reflash the Vin code to the radio. The BCM has to receive the code for the radio to work.

VIN "6" - 8cyl. 6.0L 4BL (4 barrel carbureted)
VIN "8" - 8cyl. 4.1L TBI (Throttle Body fuel Injected) (95 % of 83 Cadillac Fleetwoods)
VIN "9" - 8cyl. 6.0L TBI (2% of 83 Cadillac Fleetwoods)
VIN "N" - 8cyl. 5.7L MFI (Multi-port Fuel Injected) Diesel OHV (Overhead Valve)
(3% of 83 Cadillac Fleetwoods)

generally the paint shops have a code catalog for each car brand

My manual shows----- code 22 is throttle position sensor, and code 83 is low engine coolant.
