SOURCE: 2006 Jeep Wrangler won't start

First, make sure you can turn the engine by hand. If you can't then the starter can't turn it either. Have someone else turn the key and look for the source of the click...may be a relay. Go over the starting circuit with a volt meter. Check for power at the starter main terminal and then with the key turned to "start" check for power at the trigger terminal on the starter. Check battery voltage and check relay operation.
You have a neutral safety switch on the transmission if its an automatic and a clutch switch if it's a stick. Check them as well. Make sure battery grounding on fender and block are also clean and secure.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.

My 1991 jeep wrangler will not start. Engine turns over fine. The engine is getting fuel and has fire to the spark plugs. I have already changed the distributor (cap and pop up coil), plugs, plug wires,...

Check the timing to ensure it is correct.
Check each cylinder for the proper compression.
Try starting the jeep with some starting fluid. If it starts with the starting fluid, you may have a few bad injectors, or faulty injector wiring harness.

I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler, when the engines is running the engine light came on and stay on. Why is that ?

It could be as simple as a loose fitting gas cap.
Turn the key on and off 3 times, on the 3rd time leaving it on.
Depending on your system, if you have a digital odometer, an error code will be displayed.
If that doesnt happen, the engine light will start flashing. Start writing down how many times it flashes per interval. It may flash 3, then stop, then flash 4, then stop, and finally flashy just two times. This means it is number 342.
Get online and look up error codes for your vehicle and match it up.

06 Jeep Wrangler making a loud clincking or grinding when turning

Hi there,

By any chance is the transfer case engaged?

A locked drive train could account for the noise being made only on turns.

Bring the transfer case to neutral then back to 2-high.

Or try to duplicate the problem by putting it into 4-high. THAT way the dealership would know exactly what to look at.

2007 jeep wrangler tip start feature problem

First I would ask a friend to tow you to the auto parts store, and yes it sounds like you need a new starter. When the starter kept running it is because the bendix was stuck engaged. When you shut the jeep off and it would not turn over it is becuase the starter is fried. That happens with electrical componants.

06 wrangler 4 cylinder... keeps going thru spark plugs. I have changed the spark plugs twice in 2 mnths. the 1st time was loss of power in about 3rd gear so changed to platinum and then about 2 weeks later...

Pull the plugs and compare them to the pictures in repair manual, ie: Chilton's or Hayne's. May be a bad injector flooding them or an intake leak causing a lean condition.

Trouble starting

sounds like your fuel pump is about to go bad. when you turn the key on, it engages the fuel pump for about 3 seconds. If you cycle the key on and off for 3-4 times it should create enough fuel pressure to start the jeep. Try it. Let me know.
