I've been trying to bleed the brakes on my Kia Rio 2012 and now have no fluid at all four corners ? Do I have an air loc ? Or could it be something to do with my abs?

Your master cylinder either went dry or the valve got left open when someone let off of the brakes if you are using the "pedal pump" method. Get a second person and a vacuum break bleeder. Have one person make sure the fluid stays filled and the second operates the bleeder. When you stop seeing bubbles in the fluid make sure you close the valve before pulling the hose off of the bleeder valve. This should eliminate the possibility of pulling air into the system. Depending on how much air was pulled in before... It's a relatively quick process.

First I never had a Kia. But when I have bleed brakes I start at RR then LR next RF and lastly Left Front brake. Just do one at a time make sure you keep a eye on the master cylinder that it never looses oil. If it stops draining you can try tightening the bleeder plug you have loose and pump the brake and loosen the bleeder plug again. You can buy a brake bleeder manual pump at auto parts store but you still make sure the master cylinder never looses oil. If it looses oil you have a lot of bleeding to get the air out. (I have taken a hose suitable for brake fluid and put on the bleeder valve fitting and in jar which has brake fluid in it. Loose the bleeder valve fitting and pump the brakes slowly till no bubbles come out the hose. RR, LR, RF and LF. Takes Two People) I am assuming Kia have a bleeder valve.

SOURCE: unable to bleed front brakes

loosen the front brake line that goes to the master cylinder fill master cylinder up with fluid and bleed it first by attaching a flexible line from master cylinder front brake side submerge that line into jar of brakefluid keeping air from entering line get someone to pump brake pedal while ur holding line in a jar keep refilling the brake resivoir so no air gets in, once the master is bled front brake side then reattach the origional brake line then remove bleed screw from caliper and let fluid gravity flow down to calliper then bleed the normal way. more than likely your master cylinder has air trapped in the front portion good luck

Why were the brake lines replaced?

Sounds like the mastercylinder may have run dry. You have to bench bleed the master and then DO NOT allow fluid to run low, while bleeding brakes...

if master cylinder runs low on fluid and air gets in, almost impossible to bleed with out releasing the lines and bleed master it self.

2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. I am replacing pads and rotors. What is the proper sequence for flushing the brakes

When replacing brake pads and rotors on your 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited, it's important to flush the brake fluid to ensure optimal brake performance. Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Gather the necessary tools and supplies: brake fluid, a brake bleeder kit, a wrench, and a clear container to collect the old brake fluid.
  2. Start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder, which is typically the passenger rear wheel.
  3. Locate the brake bleeder valve on the caliper. It's a small valve with a rubber cap on it.
  4. Remove the rubber cap and attach the brake bleeder kit to the valve.
  5. Have an assistant pump the brake pedal several times and then hold it down.
  6. Open the bleeder valve with the wrench and let the brake fluid flow into the clear container.
  7. Repeat this process until you see clear, new brake fluid coming out of the valve.
  8. Close the valve and remove the bleeder kit.
  9. Repeat the process on each wheel, working your way from the passenger rear to the driver rear, then the passenger front, and finally the driver front.
  10. Once you have flushed the brake fluid on all four wheels, check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and top it off if needed.
  11. Test the brake pedal for firmness and ensure that the brakes are working properly before driving the vehicle.
Following this sequence will ensure that all of the old brake fluid is flushed out of the system and replaced with fresh fluid, which will improve the overall performance and reliability of your brakes.

I have 2012 Corolla, brake pedal is goes floor and very low brake also. I have changed Brake vacuum and master cylinder. but the problem still not solve.

You didn't say so I'll ask. Did you bleed the brake lines? Any time you deal with brake fluid replacement you need to do this. Air gets trapped in the system and causes exactly what you are describing.

There are several methods to drain fluid and air from system. I have used both the vacuum method and assistant / friend method. Here is a video on YouTube which shows the methods. You can search for more detailed videos if you want.

Make sure you have the correct fluid for you system, Dot 3 or 4 most likely, and make sure you have plenty of it since you don't want to get half way through and run out. You can always return unopened bottles for refund.

Hope this helps.

Brake pedal goes to the floor. I have a 2009 Kia Rio automatic. Has 27,000 miles on it. Basically looks new every where, under hood etc.. There have been at least two times that the brake pedal has...

you can call any dealership and give them you're vin number to see if there is any recalls on the break system. something that new would most likely not need a knew master cylinder or break buster. can also have breaks bleed. if there is an air bubble in the line this could happen. mechanic shops should be able to bleed breaks for 40-50 dollars. i would recommend picking one you trust so they don't rip you off.

Just replaced Master Brake Cylinder on 05 Rio. Have plenty of brake pressure when engine is off but none when the engine is on

Still have air in the system. May need to have them bled at a shop that can use a bi-directional scanner to bleed the ABS electronically. First try bleeding them manually starting at the right rear and working your way closer to the master cylinder (RR, LR, RF, LF). Be sure to bleed each wheel until you get fresh clean fluid and be sure to keep the reservoir full during the process.12_24_2012_5_28_23_pm.png

Not getting brake fluid to passenger rear brake

COMPLETE BRAKE SYSTEM NEEDS BLEEDING!, REMOVE BRAKE FLUID FILLER CAP TOP UP THE BRAKE FLUID IF LOW, RAISE THE VEHICLE & REMOVE THE WHEELS FOR EASE OF ACCESS THEN CRACK OFF THE BLEED NIPPLES ONE AT A TIME ATTACH HOSE TO A RECEPTACLE SUCH AS A JUG OR BUCKET & GET A FRIEND /WIFE/PARTNER/NEIGHBOR TO PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL ON EACH BRAKE, WHEN NO AIR BUBBLES ARE SEEN & BRAKE FLUID RUNS CONTINUOUSLY REMOVE HOSE & TIGHTEN BRAKE BLEED NIPPLE, DO THIS THREE MORE TIMES ONCE ON EACH CORNER, NOT FORGETTING TO KEEP TOPPING UP THE BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET MORE AIR IN THE LINES & HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN, ONCE DONE PUT THE WHEELS BACK ON , LOWER THE VEHICLE, MAKE SURE THE RESERVOIR IS AT THE RIGHT LEVEL & PUMP THE BRAKES A FEW TIMES, THE SPONGINESS WILL HAVE DISSIPATED & YOUR BRAKES WILL BE MUCH MORE RESPONSIVE.

How to bleed to clutch on a kia rio

This should cover most models.
Bleed nipple is on slave cylinder beside inlet line.
Crack bleeder before fitting silicon tube and make sure free enough to back out 1/2 turns by hand, finger tighten again and fit 1-2 metres of 5mm internal diameter silicon rubber tube to nipple with other end in clear glass jar or bottle.
Ensure all fittings are secure, top up brake master cylinder reservoir. (this feeds clutch master)
Move clutch pedal about 50mm up and down slowly until fluid stops presenting bubbles. (you can have the jar in the car with you to see this happening Thus the 2metres of tube.)
Stop pumping when this happens - lift clutch pedal and tighten bleeder nipple with spanner.
Test if any air in line by pushing clutch pedal til stops and hold for 5 seconds release ans press again - measure distance when pressure is felt between 2 actions of peddle -they should be same. if not you still have air. repeat bleeding procedure.

WARNING - brake/clutch fluid is corrosive and melts paint and plastic. do not get it in your eyes.If spilt IMMEDIATELY wash with copious amounts of water.
Good luck

I recently added brake fluid to the car and now need to bleed the brakes and I was wondering if test driving a little would help bleed them to faster?

Don't drive it until you've properly bled the brakes! If you've needed to add fluid was it because you've changed a component or does it have a leak? If it's a leak, address that before doing anything else because the system will continue to get air in it if you don't.
