not told you at, all does the other 100 things on the car work]?
car drives day and night OKAY>?
heater blower work? heard and felt blow.?
head lamps work on low and high beams?

my guess is car has BCM that is sick.
so we SCAN the PCM/BCM at the OBD2 DLC scan port and it tells me BCM errors.
you said fuses are good but there are vast fuses now on a car even 50 fuses, in engine bay and 1or 2 fuse boxes in the cab.

this is a turn in caliper, meaning that as you try to compress the piston, you also need to rotate it clockwise. you can buy tool for this at nearly any parts store, and is fairly inexpensive.
on the right stalk the tiny button on the end of it clicks in for the rear wiper and push the hole stalk towards the speedo and hold for rear wiper and washer.
I have not worked on a Polo before but almost all VW have a wedge that adjust the back brakes all you have to do is remove one of the lug nuts and place a flat screw drive in the hole a push the wedge up./ I believe to spring and wedge toward the front of the car, Put your lug hole at 3 o'clock and you sould feel the spring if not put it at 9 o'clock. Hope it helps, remember do one side at a time, the other side is a good refirence.
the starting issue is probally down to the throttle housing being al carboned up.take it of and get it spotless,a toothbrush and some solvent is good.make sure you clean around where the butterly sits and the edges of the butterfly itself,dont just look from the top and think its looks ok take it off.
