SOURCE: 2004 F150 headlights will not work the running

Have you checked your fuses and relays? There's a few and not just one to check. The daytime running lights are on another relay than the headlamps.

SOURCE: I have a 2008 f250.

I am sure that a 12 Volt bulb means it needs 12 Volts. Since you changed the bulb to the other side, why not check the voltage in the working side and see what it reads?

Sometimes the turnstalk can interfere with the lighting. Try pushing the Hazard switch several times and see if the headlights straighten out. I read that too much goes through the turnstalk and that using the Hazards can derail a contact inside the stalk.

If this does not help, you may need a headlight relay in the powerbox. One contact may be dirty or burned down for the wire it feeds. Unless you have a single wire feeding both low beams to the headlights, I would bet the left and right side come out directly through the relay.

Headlights wont work on dim, only bright

Check your head light bulbs, your truck has the dual filiment headlight bulbs one per side which does both high beam and low beam, 9007 bulbs.
If the low beam filiments are burned out only the high beam will work.
Also look into finding out if the headlight switch is gone bad.
The headlight module and or drl module maybe defective.

1995 jetta headlights work on bright but not on dim. Fuses are good

Had this once...Check voltage at plug on dim side to see if you have power.
If so, check continuity thru head light.
(I had both headlight low beams burn out at the same time once.)
Ya might check your headlight relays are seated for good connection as well.

When I turn on the bright lights, one headlight goes out. when I turn off the bright lights, the other headlight goes out

you may need 2 light bulbs. check real close, if they go out compltely or really dim.... if dim, you have a ground wire issue, if they go out completely the bulbs are bad.

Headlight one side works on bright the other side works on dim

Try swapping the headlight bulbs or buying a known good bulb and testing that way. Sounds like a shorted bulb filament issue.
