Did you check for voltage at the fuse circuits? Use a test lite. Your dash lites may go hot from the headlamp switch. Radios on some makes and models have two voltage circuits, one circuit is for memory, hot all the time, separate circuit to operate the radio, itself, goes hot with the key on. I haven't looked at your wiring?
I have the same issue . My radio lights are on but my radio doesn't come on nor does my clock and my interior lights. This issue happened after someone jumped my car battery and put the jumper cables on wrong. I've changed the battery and checked all fuses fortunately all the fuses are good... I called the dealership mech and he told me to check the fuses again. Other wise it could be a wiring issue ...either way I am unsure. I need help asap
you must run a scan and try to check the fuse of the air bag under the hood, sometimes when you change battery the codes of you computer erase some of them, try to run a scan and reset the computer ,good luck
My audio and clock display stopped working all of a sudden. The audio system still worked fine. I had all my fuses checked previously and was told it could cost up to $800 to fix by Mazda. I pulled out fuse 31 and wiped it clean, reinserted it and now my display works as good as new. Thanks to those on this site for your help.
The 15 amp dome fuse is in the fuse box under the hood and the 15 amp CIG fuse is in the lower finish panel up under the dash on the drivers side. These are needed for the radio. The above fuses plus the 15 amp Gauge fuse in the box with the dome fuse under the hood are needed for the clock.
I also have clock removal instructions at my website www.autoclockrepair.com
