the color of the plastic plug does not matter... You will have two injector plugs with white/red and yellow wires - those two go to cyl#'s 1 and 3.
the other two plugs will have white and blur wires.. those two plugs go to injectors # 2 and 4.

Probably the switch at the injector pump may be faulty thus not opening to allow the diesel, check tht switch you should get a click sound once you turn the ignition 'on'.

ecm does control but is also based on input from the Throttle position senser. unplug the TPS and try again. Also make sure the ECM and engine grounds are good
