2010 SXT. Why do wipers only work on high?

I have tried switching out both switches, wiper and combo, and I tried the motor. Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

I do not know where the electronic circuit is for the wipers. The problem is that the capacitor is not charging up so that it discharges to make your wipers work intermittently.

There are trouble codes listed for your wipers. Did you check for codes? My database shows B type codes. Check for manufacturer specific codes. There are code readers that will check manufacturer specific codes as well as po codes.

Click on the link, that is one of the possible codes listed for wipers. There are several.

2003 Impala wipers don't work have power and new motor but nothing moving when on

Depending on what your trying to do with wipers, I'd want to see voltage on the gray and or purple wire. See the black wire at the bottom that is ground, a good ground is a must. Hey Jeff, I'm not trying to bug you. If I spend time trying to look up info, I'm going to post it. I don't care if the question has already been answered. Have a good day.

My 2010 grand marquis wipers stopped working on high now they are coming on while in the off position. What could be wrong?

Could be the wiper switch. There are few components in the system. The wiper switch is rarely disassembled to repair, it is meant to be replaced.

The wiper motor would usually fail differently. Not shutting off (called parking) is a motor problem. But not engaging high speed is usually a switch problem. It sounds like the switch is a notch off inside and is not touching to cycle off.

There may be some you tube videos which show better details than just texting about this.

I'm driving in rain, wipers working good, all of a sudden they quit! I drive for 15 min, check again, they work for a while, then quit again...what in the problem?

If your not familiar with automotive electronics an module control of components , I suggest you take it to the dealer . They have the tools to diagnose this type problem !
The Wiper/Washer System consists of the following components:
?€¢
Windshield wiper/washer switch

?€¢
Body control module (BCM)

?€¢
Wiper PCB relay

?€¢
Wiper high PCB relay

?€¢
Windshield wiper motor

?€¢
Windshield washer fluid pump

?€¢
Windshield washer fluid level switch

?€¢
WPR fuse 25 A

?€¢
WSW fuse 10 A

Low Speed Operation
When the wiper switch is in the low speed position, ground is applied through the switch internal resistor and the wiper switch low signal circuit to the body control module (BCM). In response to this signal, the BCM energizes the WIPER PCB relay by applying battery voltage through the wiper relay control circuit to the coil side of the relay. This allows battery positive voltage from the WPR fuse to flow through the switch input side of the WIPER PCB relay and out to the switch input side of the WIPER HIGH PCB relay. Since the wiper high relay is de-energized and its switch contacts are normally closed to the low speed control circuit of the windshield wiper motor, the motor will operate at low speed.
High Speed Operation When the wiper switch is in the high speed position, ground is applied through the windshield wiper switch high signal circuit to the body control module (BCM) indicating the wiper high speed request. In response to this signal, the BCM then energizes the wiper PCB relay, as stated above, and the wiper high PCB relay by applying ground through the control circuit to the coil side of the relay. With the wiper high relay energized and its switch contacts closed to the high speed control circuit of the wiper motor, the motor will operate at high speed.
Wiper motor high speed operation and the wiper high speed PCB relay can also be commanded ON/OFF by using a scan tool. Refer to Control Module References.
DTC B3715 02: Front Wiper Relay Drive Circuit Short to Ground
DTC B3875 00: Wiper High Speed Relay Circuit
DTC B3922 00: Front Wiper Function Select Circuit
You could Have a switch problem , BCM problem ,PCB relay problem , the pcb relays are non serviceable an the whole under hood fuse box would need to be replaced . Malfunctioning motor bad ground some where etc.....

Intermittent wiper

what car, what year? gee? a suz, what?
it can only be 4 things. (all cars)
1: the wiper motor is bad. (it has contacts inside for timing.
2: the wiper shaft is stripped, nah you said both stalled.
3: the wiring is bad.
4: the combo switch for the above is bad.

DIY, with what , no tools? no meter.?
with no tools one can only GUESS,
roll dice, and replace a part.
after spending $500 on parts and the wires are good then what.
yes, buy a meter.

it could be a bad ground wire.

when you turn on most wipers, the combo switch sends
that signal( just 12v ) to the motor.
the motor is self booting, that is , it only needs the start up
and then it self provides its own power,
ive restored wiper motors, many.
then the motor runs until it his the dead spot in ITS, internal
sustain switch and the halts. if the combo switch is off.
but if the wiper fails to return, this is a bad wiper motor.
(overloaded by ice, sure)
the motor can fail 2 ways, but
id say the sustain switch is at EOL. end of life.

this is the most common design.
check your FSM for yours. the factor service manual.
or alldata dot com. sure.

Windshield wipers stopped working. I checked fuses, all okay. So then I replaced the wiper motor. Now they work but only on the high setting. What do I do now?

Sounds like the switch on the stalk is not working or if it goes through relays or other circuit that's the problem. You need an electrical schematic to properly troubleshoot.
