What is the nature of the problem when the dashboard indicator battery warning light comes on?

Generally, when the dashboard warning light populates, panic erupts - why? Most people are unaware of what specific symbols mean. If they did, they would know that not every warning light signal is indicative of a malfunction or costly repair.
At times, your dashboard lights are merely letting you know what systems are in use. We decided to compile a list of the most important indications, so you can have a better understanding of Nissan warning lights and their meanings.

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

All cars have a battery light on the dashboard that is designed to warn you if the recharging system fails. That light indicates that the "catalytic convertor" has over heated!!!!, however at a guess i rekon the wire or wires have come off the sensor causing the light to come on.
