How to change headlight buld 07 dts - 2007 Cadillac DTS Sedan

1. Never touch the lamp glass with bear hands
2. Visual inspect the connector
3. With a multimeter check the voltage on the connector
3.1 If you have aroubd 12 VDC cabling is ok and you need a new buld
3.2 If not check the cabling connection

Usually you just "Squeeze-in" on the plastic dome sides to remove the cover, and then you will see the buld - some are push-in-twist 1/4 right and pull out, others may pull striaght out.

You may be able to access it from the engine compartment, or from under the car. There's a twist-out buld socket - (twist about an 1/4 quarter turn to the left) - then pull striaght back. If not accessable that way remove the light cover/lens and then the light unit - there should be enough slack in the wires to pull the assembly forward alittle to remove buld socket.

Try not to touch the buld as you do the installation. There is a access cover in the back of the head lamp. This gives you access to the headlamp. Now when you get to the light buld and socket turn counterclockwise.Then the light bulb wil come out of its socket.From here disconnect the electrical connection.Now for the installation connect the electrical socket to the headlamp bulb.Install the buld in the socket,by rotating socket clockwise locking the retaining tabs to the housing,install cover test the light and you are done

I having a same problem as you.
I have changed Head light (general head light 12V 37W)
I plug out inverter connector and connect 12V 37W bulb directly
It works fine.

Have you changed the bulb on that side of the car? If a bulb is broken or burnt out it will not light up.

sealed beam unit??

It is real hard to replace and some time the wiring harness inside of headlamp if burned if vehicle is still under 36000 miles take it to dealer to have repaired
