Just replaced output shaft seal and put 80/90/ gear oil in it. it changes gears good and runs good just makes noise in neutral noise goes away when i press in clutch. also if you jack up the rear end the wheels will start to spin in neutral.. the guy i bought it off of said he just paid 500 to have a new clutch installed. something is wrong

A noise in neutral that goes when the clutch is disengaged indicates a front input shaft bearing in the gear box . When the clutch is out that shaft is spinning along with the cluster shaft in the gear box. When the clutch is in that shaft stops (to engage first gear) and the bearing is no longer working.. It normally means a box out job.
