Thats because the electrical system is using more power than the alternator supplies at idle so the ECU increases idle so that all electrical systems i.e fuel delivery etc have enough power supplied absolutely normal

SOURCE: Starting problem for 1999 Lexus GS300

make sure the air filter lid has been put back into proper place, if they left it loose the engine would **** more air while trying to start, so you need more fuel to balance it out.

SOURCE: mercedes e220, horn, heater fan and electric

Horn and heater may be fuse related. The headrests have nothing to do with fuses. The switch is bad or going that way for the seat or the motors for the headrests are out.

The horn fuse spin it, or replace as corrosion from aluminum fuses cause problems. I suggest replacing them all with new copper barrel fuses. The blower motor fan is a strip fuse on the driver side strut mount in a tootsie roll sized case.

SOURCE: Car has strong gas smell. Hard start up in

High idle is associated with a vacuum leak from the engine hose's or gaskets. The check engine light is on...telling us there is a problem with one or more of the engines actuators or sensors. The first place any tech would check is for a DTC (trouble code) in the engines computer memory. You will need to see what the trouble code is and proceed with a diagnosis from there, otherwise you will be guessing at this point. It may be the IAC motor on the throttle body, but again, this is just a guess. Autozone will connect a code reader to your engines computer and read the code for you for free if you do not have a code reader. You HAVE to do this part in order for us to help you, and not waste time and money guessing on parts to replace.

Why won't it turn over?

I had the exact same problem with the exact same Van. I simply adjusted the throttle cable under the hood. So that instead of trying to idle around 350rpm, it is now idling between 500-550rpm. Hope this helps.
*I did, at first, change the Mass Airflow Sensor and new Air filter. That seemed to help a bit, but I would still get low idle code. And it wouldn't idle until the engine warmed up. After adjusting the Throttle cable, I've had no more issues.

Yesterday my Mercedes 220 CE had a major service and on this morning it stalled twice before leaving the driveway. It is also very shaky when it is idle. What is wrong with it?

One of vacuum hose is out of the place can cause this problem. That usually happens when a major service performed. Have it towed back to the place where the service perform so it can be corrected. Good luck.

Car dies when heater turned on

Assuming your charging system is working properly-You probably have an idle speed control problem. Behind the battery there is an over voltage relay with red top and a 10 amp fuse in it. This relay powers the a.b.s. and the idle speed control unit. Make sure fuse is o,k, and that the relay is not corroded. Next there is 2 micro switches on the throttle linkage(you will have to remove the air cleaner. This switches are tested with an ohm meter and show continuity in one position and open in the other(don't worry if the ohm reading is high).Next to the over voltage relay there is 2 black relays(one fuel pump the other is climate comtrol) The one that says klima is the climate control. Make sure it is not corroded and a lot of times the electrical connector gets bowed and you will lose contact. This relay is really more of a control unit and gives input to the idle and c.i.s. control units as far as the a/c and heater operation. Hopefully I have been helpful

1999 Mercedes e-320 water pump

Good morning;
does this critter have a radiator fill w/cap? I've run accross som large Sotrd trucks that don't.
Well, anyway, it soesn't make sense you would need to fill the radiator via the resenoir. That is only good for short pressure relief and cook down vacuum recovery of coolant. 60/40 is the mix ratio. If it hs a resevoir it should have a radiator cap.The air in system will purge itself as it starts to circulatte cioolant. turn heater off till your system is full, then on when engine reaches operating temp. then if needed top iff coolant. Leave radiator cap off while waiting for coolant to start circulating. When thermostat opens out comes the air. Then put coolant mix in reservoir to fill line. check for leaks and all hose clamps are tight and you should be set, Good luck - Ned
