Usually replacing the TPS - throttle position sensor will get rid of this issue.

SOURCE: need instuctions to change tail/break lights on 07 dodge caliber

popohead, if people thought it was easy, they wouldn't be here asking. Your reply is useless.

To remove the pins, look a them closely. Notice that there's two little notches cut into the cup that holds the pin. Use a flathead on each side to leveredge them out a little. If that doesn't work at all, you can use a pair of pliers to firmly grip the head of the pin and pull straight out. Quick firm pull.

Once the first pin comes out, the second pin should easily come out. At that point, firmly grip your taillight housing, and pull straight back: Don't try to wiggle it out, and don't try to lift it to one side or the other like a trunk or door. Just pull it firmly straight back like you would a dresser drawer.

Once it's out, the little wiring harnesses come out of the taillight housing with about a 1/4 turn, and the bulbs just slide straight out of those.

Good luck!

SOURCE: how to change head light bulbs on a dodge caliber

Park the Dodge Caliber on a flat paved or concrete surface. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the side opposite the headlight you are replacing. In other words, if you are replacing the left headlight, turn the wheel all the way to the right. Apply the parking brake and release the hood latch.

  • Step 2 Place a wheel chock behind one of the rear tires.
  • Step 3 Open the hood. This is to allow some light to reach down into the engine compartment.
  • Step 4 Raise the front quarter panel of the side you need to replace the headlight on with the floor jack and place the jack stand under the front frame rail on that side.
  • Step 5 Remove the fender well plugs using the plastic plug puller tool. You do not have to remove the entire fender well cover, but the more plugs you remove, the more access it will give you to the headlight assembly.
  • Step 6 Unplug the headlight switch. Make sure you are unplugging the headlight which will be the inboard plug.
  • Step 7 Turn the headlight bezel a quarter turn counterclockwise and extract the bulb and bezel.
  • Step 8 Insert the new headlight into the bezel, being careful not to touch the glass bulb.
  • Step 9 Insert the bezel and headlight into the headlight assembly and turn a quarter turn clockwise to lock it into place.
  • Step 10 Plug the wire connector into the headlight. This would be a good time to get up and go test the light to make sure it's working.
  • Step 11

SOURCE: how do i install a alternator for a 07 dodge

you will need to disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery, remove right front wheel, remove underbody air dam, remove accessory drive splash shield, remove the accessory drive idler pulley. Next loosen the lower mounting bolt, then loosen the a/c compressor and relocate(pull down and to the outboard side of the vehicle to make room for the alternator the come out) next uplug field circuit from alternator and the B+ terminal nut and wire. remove upper mounting bolt on the alternator and lower mounting bolt. relocate the terminal to the other side of the a/c line. Rotate alternator pulley down and slide down and out of vehicle. Yes, its a pain in the ****.

There are a number of causes for seeing the ETC light illuminated, but what they boil down to are basically a problem with engine idle speed control.
You could try cycling the key from off to on three times (leave ON) to use the code-read feature built into the vehicle's electronics. It's not always reliable in that it won't show 1-trip failures and often omits ALL codes even when it runs... which often takes several attempts. Leave your car doors shut for the procedure since door ajar messages will often take precidence over the code-read feature, which will be shown in one of the VFD displays in the instrument cluster.
While it's a bit early to condemn the electronic throttle body itself, if you happen to have close to 100,000 miles on the car you may have simply worn the ETC out. I replaced one last week at that mileage mark and just had to disassemble it to find out what happened for my own information.
The ETC uses plastic gears between the throttle shaft and gear-reduction assembly that comes off the electric motor and they simply wore out at the most-often used portion of their travel... near idle/ closed throttle. One of the things I'd noticed different about this ETC before disassembly was that the blade had a "dead spot" in it as pushed open by hand. Instead of a smooth transition from closed to an open position, there was little effort required to move it in the first 5% of its travel which accounted to the extreme wear found between the gear teeth at the reduction area. If you can reach the ETC blade (no small feat), push it open by hand while evaluating how smoothly it works especially from the start... you may need an ETC which runs a little over $300 with no gaskets required.
