2002 S60 with 211K miles, Once car is warm it will stall when brake is applied lightly. If put in neutral and throttle is feathered stall can be prevented. Possible ECM failure. However no codes come back.
Vacuum leak is cause
Testimonial: "Where would I start looking for the vacuum leak?"
when the car is sitting in park, everything is ok when brakes are applied. When you put the car into rev or drive and apply the brakes nothing happens. Once the car is rolling and you apply the brakes, it will stall out. starts right back up with no problems. Open to suggestions.
Theres no doubt it's vacuum think this way you have to stopp the weight of the car it's not going to gobble up the vacuum sitting the way I find vacuum leaks is with a smoke machine I run smoke through the system and where it comes out I mark it with red tape and look into the cause of the leak

SOURCE: engine stalls when brakes applied
Sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Do you also hear any other noises when you push the brakes?
SOURCE: car keeps stalling when brakes applied, then starts but turns off
I dont know why, but one time my truck was low on trans fluid and after I topped it off, it didnt stall anymore when put into gear. as fro the odometer i dont know, it may have to go out completely before any diagnosis can be done.
