I had the ECM module replaced by the dealer. Refurbished and part and labor was $900. Battery also recharged. The original problem was theft deterent system engaged and would not allow my keys to be removed from car or turn all the way off. Dealer said fix was bad ECM. Replaced and now I noticed my sunroof not working? This has to be related because it was working before. Any ideas on troubleshooting Or solutions?

Replaced Problem Solved. What Is Happening Is Your Key Has A Chip And That Chip Is A Resister And When The Valve Is Not Sented To The Computer It Disengages the Fuel Pump And Than Tells You To Wait. Soon All That Will Happen Is You Will Get The Wait 3 Mins And It Will Never Start, A Good Locksmith Can Take Care Of This For You And That Will Save You Some Money. Cause If You Go To The Dealer Ouch They Will Hit You Up. But I Asure This Is How It Will Happen Cause It Is How It Happen To Me

did you replace the fuse.if so try to get the alarm reset location,it could be in the stupidist place like my pathfinder you have to put the key in the tailgate and turn it to glass side and hold it for 20 seconds.and then hit the hidden reset switch under the rear carpet.

probably needs a new ignition cylinder, the wires for the pass key chip inside the column tend to break after a while. i have repaired the wires in the past, but it is actualy better to replaced the assembly, you will also need to get new keys cut for the new cylinder, who ever cuts the keys will also need one of the old keys to check what pass key chip that you need.

hey there. my name is dwayne, and im contacting you for help on my 98 caddy deville. well three days ago. i got a alarm installed. and friday i was driving on da high way and it just turned off. and smoke started coming from my steering wheel. engines coolant temp. was only 200 no smoke was coming from engine. now car wont start at all.!! please help
