Ford 500 and Lincoln have the Same electrical Systems, Check Radio Relay under Hood in Relay Center, Usually You can switch with another one for trial, if works then replace the suspect Relay, If not then You have a Convenience Monitor Module Problem that Computer cost about 200.00 to replace, used one Maybe 100 if you search Bone yards

SOURCE: radio.

First you need to UN DO your first hook up. Put it back the way it was before you splice. You have evendently spliced the wrong wires. Without schematics colors and stripe won't mean anything.

Be thankful you haven't damaged anything or burn something out in your control module.

You need to find the schematic wiring for the radio.

Or if you have a taple player in the radio, by the tape adapter for CD player. Until you can find out what wires PRE AMP the tape player then you can splice.

I plugged in my aftermarket radio in my 98 ford expedition but i still get no power

According to ford truck forums online, the constant battery wire may be lite green and purple, the switched power may be pink and lite green, and the ground is black and lite green.
The battery wire is for memory.
Is that what you need to know ?

Heater or ac wont blow air in my 2003 ford escort zx2. heat comes out when the heater is on and i am driving fast? is it the blower fan? where would i locate it at?

Try unhooking one of the battery cables and leave it off for at least 20 minutes. When you hook it back up the

computers should re-boot. That has solved problems for me with heater, interior lites, power windows, AC, day

time running lites, power mirrors, fast idle, rough or slow shifting, CD player, and wipers on GM autos and S-10

PU and Dodge trucks. None of the switches are connected to the device they control anymore. The switch tells the

computer to open the window and the computer sends a signal to the window motor. When the computer gets

confused strange things will happen or not happen. Things like one headlight stays off etc. I actually had to do it

twice on my Bonneville because the first time the AC blower would only work in low and medium. After the second

re-boot, everything was fine. Of course you may have to re-set your radio stations.

If that doesn't work, check the fuses.

What is the color code for a 94 ford bronco xlt raido? I bought an after market cd player to replace my factory ''tape'' player. I'm not getting enough power from my red wire so I thought it's probably in...

run any power wires directly to a post on the fuse block. yellow or orange needs power all the time even with the key off for the memory. the red wire should be on a switched terminal. THe factory radio wires have many other things that may come off them that may effect performance. You can buy a fuse tap at the same location you got the harness, if you need more help just post back, I will watch for any questions.
