SOURCE: No Throttle Response - 2006 Hyndai Sonata Diesel Auto

Have dealer check the computer codes - I had same problem and it required that the accelerator module be replaced - this is "drive by wire" system - no direct hookup to the throttle body.

SOURCE: egr valve registering on computer causing checkengine light

You may have to reset the error memory of the on board computer via a brand and model specific procedure. Some errors may be erased simply by turning the ignition on and off a particular number of times.

SOURCE: Where is the throttle/pedal position

Yes you can do it yourself. Here is an image showing the location of sensors on your vehicle (TPS) Throttle Position Sensor...located on the throttle body. Should have 2 screws holding it in place. You can view it in Opera and blow the image up or print the image out and blow it up on a copier if you need to. Hope it helps
If this helps you resolve your problem, please
consider giving me a good rating and a quick
thanks or good job.It will help me as well.
Thank you.

Locate throttle body sensor on hyundai santa fe 2004 2.4L and replacing it

Well, we both know it is on the throttle body. follow the air filter box to the engine. Where it connects is the throttle body. Do you have drive by wire or cable? f you have cable the sensor is across from where the cables connect. If you have drive by wire, You have to replace the entire throttle body. It is a computer in it self.

How to change the throttle position/pedal position sensor

It is located on the throttle body past the air filter. 2 small bolts hold it in place and it has 1 electrical connector. Your ECM (the engine's computer) may need to be reprogrammed after you change this. The dealer can do the ECM programming. There was a Technical Service Bulletin put out by Hyundai.

The part is about $40 and looks like this:25726857-zmgniigwegj3vqi1l2ptomnm-3-0.jpg
And goes here (this is an Accent but Santa Fe should be similar):

2004 hyundai santa fe parked it last night, went to use it today and it doesn't accelerate, engine runs fine, no warning lights on dashboard lit, can put it in gear and move it, but absolutely no...

The 04 Santa Fe came with three different engines. 4 cylinder (2.4 lit), and two different V6's (2.7 lit & 3.5 lit). The 2.4 & 2.7 use throttle cables connected directly to the throttle plate, but the 3.5 uses ETS (Electronic Throttle System) which uses two sensors (APS & TPS) and a control module (ETSCM). APS=Accelerator Position Sensor, TPS=Throttle Position Sensor, ETSCM= Electronic Throttle System Control Module. There are different diagnostic procedures for each system.
Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON 2004 SANTA FE 3.5L AWL, 43,500 MILES. AZONE SAID CODE WAS P2125. WHAT IS IT AND IS IT EXPENSIVE?

Hi

Code p2125 refers to Accelerator position circuit malfunction, the cost can vary as this is not an accurate code and many other things could be at fault to cause this code. normally on these cars it is the Throttle Position Sensor on the throttle body, this detects the maount of throttle to air etc and how to mix them correctly to give the right amount of fuel to air .

Normally the fault is the resistor within the TPS or "throttle position sensor" there are ways to test this but normally it will be the TPS or the ECM that will need replacement. difficult to price it until you know the exact fault. There is a very helpful blog here Hyundai blog that has more information on testing each part yourself. Hope this helps.
Get back to me for more info should you require it.
