Transmission fluid keeps emptying while motor oil keeps rising

I constantly keep filling transmission fluid and there are no leaks, while my oil fluid keeps rising and causing my engine to cough, I have emptied my oil pan twice which contained over 2 gallons of fluid, at the same time my transmission fluid seems to be empty all the time, is it possible for my transmission fluid to be leaking into my motor oil?

You are putting the transmission fluid into your engine oil. There is no physical connection from the transmission oil to the engine oil. If the transmission leaked it would run out onto the ground, not run into the engine. Add your transmission fluid into the hole where you are checking the transmission fluid level.
You could also check your owner's manual for fill location.

Your radiator needs to be replaced. Chances are you have transmission and oil cooler lines going through them and there are mixing inside the radiator.

2006 jeep grand Cherokee limited if the radiator overflow jug is empty will it cause the transmission temp light to come on

I would say it is possible an overheated engine which is not coolling the transmission can trigger a lot of lights. Many transmissons are heated and coolled by a line which goes to the radiator of the engine cooling system.

Blew an oil line while driving. replaced it, added oil. car started right up prob is auto trans would not engage in any gear. no previous problem. does low oil press affect the trans??

Blew an oil cooler line or a transmission cooler line? Low transmission fluid would keep it from moving. Trying to drive it to long with transmission fluid about empty, would burn up the transmission. Oil pressure won't affect the transmission.

I need to replace my transmission cooler lines on my 1995 GMC Jimmy is there just the bolts that hold them to the transmission and radiator or do I have to lift up on the motor or is there clamps ?

All of the transmission fluid can leak out. The cooling lines are there to cool the tranny fluid, and it is circulated through the radiator by means of a pump. If a line is leaking, the pump will just empty the fluid out through the leak. The lines are usually just held in place by clamps to keep them from chafing through against the body or chassis, so replacing them should be quite an easy job. Just undo the bolts that hold them to the box and the radiator, undo however many clamps hold them in place, and reverse the procedure with new pipes.

Transmission fluid keeps emptying while motor oil keeps rising

I don't know the vehicle personally but I know of one similar, it had a heat transfer unit on the engine block this is to heat the transmission using the engine heat. this unit can leak causing oil to go from one to other

While i was doing off road driving a warnning light (a/t oil temp) turn on, i looked underneath the car and i found oil leak drop after drop, not too sure now should I change the transmition oil and filter...

Change the transmission fluid and filter. The light says fluid temp. is high, so you may have some burnt fluid-deadly for transmissions. Drop the trans. pan and look for metal shavings-too much will indicate failure of transmission parts. If not too much, you may be alright with fluid and filter change.
Stop the leak,. make sure it is trans. fluid, not motor oil. If motor oil, stop the leak and change oil and filter. I would do the transmission regardless, since the light came on.

Oil leaking or burning

this can be very simple to solve, after you've driven the car for,say,20 miles or maybe even 15 miles, place a piece of plain brown cardboard under the motor on ground.under the motor.make sure the engines not running, just slide the cardboard under the motor on the ground.you can even put a big piece under the whole front of car, from side to side. your whole motor is in front, including the transmission. black fluid is oil leak, red fluid is transmission fluid. if your engines burning oil, then you'll be adding oil to your engine constantly. depending on how often you drive your vehicle. just remember black fluids oil leak, red fluids, transmission fluid leak. if your motors smoking black while running, that's oil burning with your gas. you may only have a simple issue, your check engine light on? autozone or advance auto parts store can read the codes for free!! thank you,for choosing fixya.com
